Yes, any one that sins at all is not completely one with God as Jesus is one with Him. Jesus prayed for us in John 17 asking that we be made one with Him and His Father.
Yes, we are at best seeing through a "glass darkly" and "hearing His voice" also only in part. We must get closer than that, and we cannot do it alone.
I agree with most of what you have said. But... consider this:
"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." Matt 16:17
And then this...
"But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." Matt 16:23
The first time Peter heard God clearly. The second time [in the same chapter], he was so far off as to receive a rebuke from Jesus.
Agreed!
So then some of those who have been called by God have not yet been born completely of God. The Mother is still trying to complete the birthing process. Again, God is more than willing to provide the necessary help.
Aye, this is the abode, which David sought for God:
"Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob." Psalm 132:3-5
And also told David where that habitation was to be:
"For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it." Psalm 132:13-14
So then since I do see some things of God, which are not nonsense to me, then I am seeing in part by means of the Spirit. This is what Paul means here:
"For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." I Cor 13:9-10
If "that which is perfect" has already come to you, Thankful1, then I am exceedingly glad for you.
The flesh of Jesus is the Word, which is quickened [brought to Life in us] by His blood or the Spirit. We must eat and drink of Him regularly or any Life we have will be lost.
This is like the natural man who does not partake of the natural food and drink. The end of someone who not eat or drink then is death, physical death or spiritual death. Many are already spiritually dead, but anyone who is still eating and drinking of His flesh and His blood has some Life [spirituall] in them and therefore still has hope.
And this is the witness that people here would deny you. I have not seen your walk, but just because I have not seen it doesn't mean that I would deny it. That is not my job.
I have seen Jesus, although perhaps not yet as clearly as you. I have also heard Jesus, although again, perhaps not yet so clearly as you.
Of this I have no doubt!
No, our pathway to God cannot be what our flesh alone would have chosen.
Jesus does say:
"And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world,..." John 17:11
In that same chapter of John 17 Jesus is praying for all of us who are to be one with Him and His Father. When we are truly One, then we also will not be anymore "in the world".
To me this "in the world" does not mean "in sin", but it does means still subjected to the temptations of the world. Even now, many not "of the world", still being "in the world " the temptations continue. Jesus was no longer "in the world" even though the crucifixion was still ahead of Him, because He had overcome the last temptation when praying to His Father in Gethsemene. When He had spoken these words for the third time, He prayed no more for Himself, because He had overcome the world:
"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Matt 26:39
After that last prayer Jesus was no longer "in the world" and He was the first overcomer!
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Each person who is to be one with Jesus and the Father must also overcome the world as Jesus did by the Spirit of God!
"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might [of man], nor by power [of man], but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zech 4:6
