Why divorce is not an option for Christians?

Hi Mrs hepburn, glad you can see, i have a friend who says its amazing how christians are the worst ones for condeming people and reminding them of their sins. It should never be that way.In His Love

Since God seals the marriage bond no one can seperate what God has joined together. Since we are sinful people we are capable of doing terrible things. This, however, can not break the seal. Obviously if soneone is an abuser causing severe truma, one can sperate for a while until the other party gets therapy and healed. The notion that God divorced Israel is not true. On the contrary He died for their sins.

Even if your son commits a terible crime he is still your son. Similarly your spouse will always be your spouse. If he/she is dangerous one stay away from him/her but yet try to bring him/her help.

Christ died for everyone - he died as the perfect sacrifice for our sins as the bride of Christ after giving Israel her bill of divorce at the time. A bill is final, it's the equivalent of our modern legal documents confirming that status, when they are done, they are done.Contrary to what society teaches, not everyone can be rehabilitated. If one enables a spouse to destroy their relationship with God/Christ, then that is his or her (not the spouse's) fault.
