...and yet Robert, that is exactly what is happening, put Christians from various denominations together, talk about the law, the Shabbath, the keeping of the commandments, the Triune Godhead, and you will have a problem...speaking from experience

Would you say that those teaching teachings which are not part of the law of the Christ are actually Jesus' followers Joe? Jesus said that his disciples could be identified by their fruits, and of course their teachings would be the primary way they would be identified. Before the Apostle John died, the apostasy was well under way, many anti-christs were on the scene and they had drawn many disciples after themselves, so John warned: (2 John 9-11) . . .Everyone who pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. The one who does remain in this teaching is the one who has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him. 11 For the one who says a greeting to him is a sharer in his wicked works.

We can learn from the example of the noble Beroeans who were very privileged to have spoken with the Apostle Paul, you and I know Paul was personally selected by Jesus himself, however even in that, the Beroeans whom he spoke to, accepted his message eagerly and were happy to have it, but they compared it with Scripture to make sure what Paul was saying was truth Acts 17:10-12

Since we have to answer for ourselves, it is very important that we listen when others speak to us about God, and if we realize they are not teaching the truth, then not invite them in, or even say a greeting, but if we are unsure, then we must examine the scriptures to see if those things are so. That is how each of us grows in our relationship to God.

As an example I will make a statement to you now, I say Jehovah is God, that may be true, it may be a lie, what does the Bible reveal about that sir?
