In reply Jesus said to him: “It is written, ‘
It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to
him alone you must render sacred service.’” (
Luke 4:8)
Do you possess the Greek Interlineary New Testament? There is not one mention of the name Jehovah. JESUS NEVER UTTERED THAT NAME. JW's added that name to the NWT, substituting it for the LORD. Nor did He utter the name Yahweh either. He referred to His Father as Father.
Those names are manufactured from adding vowels to the Tetragrammaton YHWH. Adonai is Lord, so they inserted those vowels.
Besides, the pre-incarnate Christ, who is God spoke to Moses and appeared and spoke to the Prophets throughout the Old Testament. In Exodus 3:14, God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”
That was an introduction to Who God was t8 be filled in at a later time when Jesus would come.
I am the Bread of Life;
I am the Good Shepherd;
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life;
I am the Resurrection and the Life;
I am the Doorway;
I am the Vine;
I am th Alpha and the Omega;
I am He (the Savior, the Messiah, the One who spoke to you, the One who desired together you as a hen gathers her chicks, but you were not willing.)
There, you see, He filled in the blanks of Who the Great I Am is.
- Jesus NEVER stated God is three modes of nature....
- Jesus NEVER stated God is three separate persons...
- Jesus NEVER stated God is triune multi-natured...
- Jesus NEVER stated God is a man...

He is not three modes of nature, He created nature (Col. 1:16, 17)
He said I and the Father are one. You claim Jesus is deity, God. Man begets man, animal begets animal, but here is the tricky part that Jesus did not regard as something that man would grasp. God became a man and dwelt among us. God's Spirit is One and in Christ. Each individual has a spirit, whether it is dead or alive. GOD IS SPIRIT, GOD IS ONE. HENCE Jesus and the Father are One as well as the Holy Spirit. ONE GOD. You however claim the Father is the Almighty God but also Jesus is a lesser created god, the archangel Michael, which implies all the angels are also gods as well, making your religion polytheistic. Hindus believe in many gods too. The ancient Romans and Greeks believed in many gods.
"If you have seen me, you have seen the Father." If Jesus was not equal to God, that would be a blasphemous statement. As a matter of fact, the Pharisees understood that Jesus implied equality with Hod whichbis whybtheybaccused Him of blasphemy. He said, Before Abraham was, I Am. This was cleary a reference to His statement in Exodus 3:14.
"I and the Father are One" would also be blasphemy if He wasn't equal to His Father. Scripture states that He us the EXACT RADIANCE OF HIS GLORY, THE EXACT REFLECTION AND ESSENCE OF GOD. Angels can't claim that, they were created. Hebrews 1 clearly distinguishes Jesus as above the angels and that none of them can claim to be the Father's Son. The FATHER addresses Jesus as "O God ..."
Jesus has all authority in heaven and in earth. Only an almighty God can handle that. It requires omniscience, omnipresence and omnipotence.
Jesus _ IF he was Michael, an angel _ would never claimn all those "I am declarations" above. He would never draw attention himself and say believe in me and you will have life. An angel or a prophet would draw attention to the Father and declare the Father as being the Way, the Truth, the Life, etc., etc., etc.
