Only a fool woudl believe the bread and wine turn into Jeuss's flesh and his blood when eating human flesh and blood is banned.
The bread and wine of Jesus were simple bread and wine and stayed so even after he blessed it.
Hi XRose,
SOOOO....let me see if I understand you correctly: When Jesus held up the bread/wine at the Last Supper and told the Apostles that this "IS" my body/blood he lied to them??? They were fools to believe what Jesus told them????
Paul must have been a fool when he asked
RETORICALLY: The cup of blessing which we bless,
is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break,
is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
And the writers of the Didache (written in NT times) must have been fools since they
called communion "holy" and you must be baptized and have confessed your sins before you could receive it!!
Ignatious of Antiach, who is recorded as being
a student of the Apostle John must be a fool since he said that "
the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ" among other re-affirming statements.
Sooooo the people who lived during the time of Jesus and the Apostles are fools but YOU, 2000 years later, are the educated one??? YOU know the truth?
Curious Mary
