I am throwing this out here, I am interested in what Christians have to answer when this question is asked.
The “problem of pain,” as the well-known Christian scholar, C.S. Lewis, once called it, is atheism’s most potent weapon against the Christian faith.
Why does God allow innocent people to suffer? OP ^
A question about God, would require a Truthful response.
There are no innocent people.
That, would be an appropriate to an Atheist.
To a believer, allowance? WHO doesn't want that...oh sure, everyone wants the $$ kind of allowance, but what about the experience of Life?
Likenesses are Comforting /
Oppositions are Uncomfortable.
Suffering, sadness, pain, failing, losing, etc.
Can all be summed up, as disappointing and stir Emotions. And All allowed ... By God.
The Converted man has a Comforting Solution in Christ the Lord. The experience of The Lords comfort through a trying time is something an atheist will never experience or understand.
Glory to God,
