I would tell my young self to stop worrying about life and trust God. He always works things out....

I would try to get through to my younger self , that all the dark and scary things of life were not as real as my younger self thought that they were. My own shadow was my enemy back then at age 8.

When I started this thread I wasn't only thinking of spiritual wisdom for the 8 year old. In fact I wasn't thinking much of that at all. Ha!
It got turned off on that road..but not my intent. I was thinking of a different kind of thread......Thats why it on the Fellowship Boards, not the Christian Spiritual Forum.

I was thinking more about getting the 8 year self old through life without finding so many potholes.
ie...in not having to learn every single lesson the hard way.

I don't remember too much before ten years old, but I have my diary from 10 years old and up. Seemed okay during that time. Except I had a school bully in middle school. I think Id tell my ten year old self to stick up for herself more and not worry about the 5 minutes getting to each class. It is plenty of time. Lol. And also to give my mother more grace. I really regret, well, being a teenager I guess. I didn't really appreciate all she did for me at the time, because I was bitter towards her without really understanding why for the longest time. But working through things and forgiving her earlier may have stopped years of struggle. I try not to count the what if's...God has really done a great deal in my life.
