I say yes what with fake healings, false prophecy, speaking things into existence, send me 5 dollars and God will give you 500.
All kinds of nonsense....but that's my belief.
That is certainly true with Bethel, Hillsong, and Kenneth Copeland brand of pseudo-christian cults.

But certainly not true of Anglican, Presbyterian, or Baptist charismatics where the things you describe are never part of their brand of the charismatic.

??? You wait for Him to tell you what to pray? I don't understand.
When we don't know what to pray as we ought, the Holy Spirit makes intercession through us with groanings that cannot be uttered. Many times we have a burden for prayer for someone and we can't find the words to express it, so we ask the Holy Spirit to help us, and the words come.

I think that dealership would be there regardless. Other people did business there.
"Lean not to your own understanding but commit your way to the Lord, and He will direct your paths". What we may see as coincidences, may very well be the Lord directing our paths. Not every miracle of God is spectacular. Most are so common place appearing that they can often be mistaken as coincidental.

Oh my, is that all you can say? For 44 years, every prayer I pray gets answered, because I wait on Him. 100%

Why did they build there out in the middle of no where. Could it be because God knew I would need it exactly when I did? Are you not going to give our God credit? Was it just fate???

Don't be lukewarm in your faith and discernment of how great our God is. You may not like Charismatics, but God does, because most of us are HOT!!! And we see miracles because of it. Not everyone is a con artist.
Did the Ford dealership solve the problem? If they did, then there was a person there who had the expertise to diagnose the problem and put it right, while the previous mechanics were unable to find the cause. I can quite easily believe that the Holy Spirit led you to an expert who had the necessary knowledge to resolve the issue with your car. You had no way of knowing whether there was the right person at that Ford dealership who could do what your other mechanic couldn't. I see a miracle there, not just a coincidence.

I have faith. What do you have? Stop being lukewarm.
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, and that is what he is doing to you. It is the Holy Spirit who answers your prayers who is "walking on water". He does what you cannot do. That's what prayer is all about. It is making requests to God for Him to do what you don't have the ability to do. You are correct, you have faith to ask God for help when you need it, and He honours your faith by giving you that help.

If others who depend on just cause and effect and don't have the faith to approach God for help, that is not your problem and you don't have to defend your acts of faith which bring results.

Are not believers in the Lord and His Way walking on water today? Before Peter received the gift of the Holy Ghost, he walked on water!

Consider the water he walked on and consider the water that Jesus has for those who ask of him!
I saw the video on Youtube of a moose that ran across a river running on the top of the water. It was going so fast that there was no time for the animal to sink into the water. That's the first time I have ever seen such a thing.

But I have never heard of any believer walking on water in my lifetime.

I remember once when I was traveling alone between Illinois and Arizona and had been having car trouble off and on for months, a strange grinding noise, but my mechanic could never find it as it never happened when he test drove my van. I was driving up a long steep grade, 30 miles outside Oklahoma City on Interstate 40, and all of a sudden there was that grinding sound again coming from underneath of my vehicle, but now louder than ever! I could feel the vibrations with my feet. Instantly I heard God whisper to pray John 15:7. "If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you may ask what you will and it will be done for you." Ask for a "Ford dealership." So I prayed, Lord I am abiding in You, and Your words do abide in me so I ask for a Ford dealership right now! Just after I crested the hill, there was an off ramp, and a Ford dealership at the bottom of it, out in the middle of nowhere.

And the grinding noise turned out to be?

I’ve walked on water several times, it’s relatively easy - just find a frozen pond in winter...

Of course you see it. I do too. But there are some who seem to believe God is on vacation somewhere for the last 1900 years.

Yes, 44 years worth of results. And not one prayer was answered before 1977 when I became filled with the Spirit. So its not me. I can't "walk on water." It is God telling me FIRST WHAT TO PRAY, and I just obey. It is His will after all, so of course He will answer.

His type of sarcasm is what I have to put up with any time I testify about our great God, and that His Word is true, and not just parables and analogies, nor just for the first century.

So, reject the false and accept the fact, that some people do have a personal relationship with God.

(Acts 2:1-4 KJV) {1} And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. {2} And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. {3} And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. {4} And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

There is probably no greater church demolition movement in the world than the invasion of the Charismatic movement into the church. All one needs to do to see how evil this movement is, is to look at the TV ministries such as TBN or Inspiration Network and then listen for a few moments to the lies and false teachings being spewed with impunity. If you listen to a Charismatic preacher and compare their teachings to the Bible, you will see how subtle this movement is. The following verse was used by Satan to tempt and deceive Eve:

(Gen 3:1 KJV) Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Notice the statement that Satan uses, "Yea, hath God said." Satan was placing doubt into the mind of Eve about what God had really said to her. He was placing a confusing statement before her so he could draw her into a dialogue in which she would lose and eventually plunge the whole human race into sin and damnation. I want to apply the same principle to the teachings of the Charismatic movement.

Yea, hath God said that He wants everyone healed of disease?

Yea, hath God said that He wants everyone wealthy?

Yea, hath God said that we can command angels?

Yea, hath God said that we will receive visions?

Yea, hath God said that we must speak in tongues?

Yea, hath God said that He has never closed the canon?

Yea, hath God said that we will receive prophecies from Him outside the Bible?

Yea, hath God said that we will be able to see and cast out demons?

The big question here is, what is a Charismatic? How do we define a person who is a Charismatic?
The general understanding of "Charismatic" is a person focused on tongues and healing. This is derived from the Pentecostal notion (not supported by Scripture) that anyone who is "Spirit-filled" must speak in tongues. Which makes it a universal gift contrary to Scripture. And since Jesus DID NOT speak in tongues but was Spirit-filled 100% of the time, we can see how false this is.

The Charismatic Movement definitely caused a lot of spiritual confusion, since there were even Charismatic Catholics who were fully committed to the false doctrines of their church yet "Spirit-filled"!

Don't just consider the carnal viewpoint. Jesus and Peter certainly in their flesh walked on the Sea of Galilee, but what are true believers in the Lord walking on today? What should they be walking on? The following writing from ten years ago may clarify:

Sea No More

Or the sea of humanity that knows not God and goes its own way. There will be no more attempting to hide ourselves in the crowd or even in the trees of the garden [see Gen 3:8].

In a measure, every man is obedient in that, all of us can do anything within the framework that God has created. Unfortunately, we do not have to follow His prescribed directions [as per the Word of God] within the framework and therefore sin is possible.

"But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!" Matt 8:27

Jesus calmed the sea, but he did not purify it! It remained undrinkable or unclean! God may be able to change the outcome of a war between men, but that will not necessarily result in the salvation of the participants.

Jesus walked above man's mess. He always followed God's Way instead of the ways of man... He walked always on top of that water!

"And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea." Matt 14:25

Peter also walked above the ways of men when he followed Jesus perfectly keeping his eyes always on Him, but...

"And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me." Matt 14:29-30

But... the sea of humanity will be gone! There will be no more lost, blind and deaf multitude!

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." Rev 21:1

I don't get into what other people do. I don't even watch Christian TV much because of those things.

I am just thankful that God has baptized me with His Spirit and given me gifts I never had before. The most common one in me is the ability to hear His voice. I never pray my own will, but must always wait for Him to tell me what to pray; I pray His words, and receive the answer to the prayer.

I would agree and offer the prayers that are recorded are inspired prophecy designed to teach us how to pray seeing no man knows of our Fathers will of their own self.

1 Kings 8:39 Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)

Also seeing the Holy Spirit not only teaches us and comforts us but he brings to memory the things he has taught us we therefore having been given a new born again heart he gives us the desire to seek after Him and not vain repetitions .

Repetitions below is not the focus we are to cry out in our anxiety over and over if necessary. Vain has the idea of not seeking the will that does work in us. Like what is called blessed queen of heaven “pray for us now and in the time of need over and over”. Bead work.

Mathew 6: 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
