And what makes a member of Christ?

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

I hope we not just going round in circles here

why are you feuding?
Cos I’m shooting at him!

Why are you shooting at him?
Oh cos we’re feuding!

Yes, we are going around in circles, but you should know the answer. We've talked about it before. Oh, well. Talk to you later.

Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

explain
Explained that already - you can't grasp it: We are in the "already but not yet" state of salvation
It is a done deal but not fully consummated.

those who are members of christ
There is a huge difference between adherents to the church of Rome, and members of the Body of Christ. They are not equivalent, though doubtless some Catholics may be saved. Only God knows. But any Catholic who is truly saved COMES OUT of the RCC.

I am in agreement with Martin Luther, not the RCC view. Faith is a gift, not earned. And faith will result in fruit. That fruit is of God so no one can take credit for it.
Examine your faith. What does it mean to you? Is it not the certainly of things hoped for, with a confidence of these unseen promises (salvation, heaven)?
Or is it a faith that still needs works to validate it? Think of that, it is a gift from God, would He change his mind and take it away if you do not produce works?
He knows the future and does not give a gift of life that He is certain will grow to produce fruit.
All that James was saying in essence is "by their fruit you will know them". If there is no fruit, God never gave them the gift to begin with. And of course it takes awhile for a tree to grow before it produces fruit.
Our purpose in life is first to be reconciled to God through Jesus and second to LOVE GOD AND OTHERS.

then you need to stop saying you’re saved?
Twisting things that people say is bearing false witness against your neighbor, attacking other Christians on this forum IS NOT an example of the fruit of the Spirit. You have been
On this negative warpath again st Protestants who are taking time trying to help you. Kindness, goodness, patience, love, joy, peace, Faith, hope, self control ... can you confirm that you display these qualities in your posts? I don't need your answer, it is just a question we all need to ask ourselves.

I need to start hanging out with you... LOL.... I lack patience and tolerance for so many people here.... and I have discovered... I need a lot of breaks in between. Good answer.

Religion is what man owes to God for his creation and redemption
And this is one of your problems.
Religion is man's flawed ways of reaching to God.
Christianity is GOD'S prefect way of reaching man.
Certainly we are called to be obedient, holy, loving and abiding in His Word, but a legalistic path to achieve this is flawed, it fails. We even possess moments of perfection if we are doing exactly what is called for at that moment - still God works through us, He gets the credit. People who think they have achieved salvation are fooling themselves and it is quite arrogant to think that you can. The Pharisees were a prime example, white washed tombs who would lead people further away from God, and turning them into more wretched sinners.

Christians are made by baptism Matt 28:19 jn 3:5 jn 4:1 etc.

Christians are made by trusting in the death and Resurrection of jesus alone!
Matt. 28 is baptism for disciples (which means they are already believers)
John 3 Jesus is referring to natural and spiritual birth! He further defines it in verse 6--flesh birth and spirit birth! We are grown in water and birthed in a water sac! the phrase pregnant women say when they begin labor--" My water broke" is testomony to that fact. It was called water birth in olden times until modern science explained it. It is still water.
John 4--baptizing people who are already followers--wrong again!

Baptism is a work. Eph. 2 shows we are not saved by any work!
Baptism is an outward acxt of what is already an inward reality. Baptism is for believers only!

into what?

there is more than one true church founded by Christ on Peter and the apostles? Jn 10:16

1 Pet 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!
(Ark of Noah a type of the church, member of Christ and his church and salvation by baptism!)
(Outside the ark of Noah none were saved, outside the church (the ark of salvation) none are saved!)

Is pope francis an apostel of Christ . I mean he so called sits in the seat . THIS is a far better question for you to answer .
IF the so called seat of peter IS IN THE RCC , that means POPE FRANCIS SITS ON IT . AND you gonna tell me
that man is an apostel of Christ . THE RCC made the simplicity of CHRIST so man made tradition and added too and took from the original pattern .
You must flee her my friend . I will keep praying for you . My desire is for your good .

he also said they are to be obeyed cos they have the jurisdictional authority of the seat of Moses and the keys of the kingdom and the power to bind
All of which Christ took from them matt 21:43 and have to peter and the apostles Matt 16:18 18:18 Jn 20:21-23
