The spiritual fathers in the RCC are of another spirit my friend . So , i wont be heeding them .
Folks forget we are supposed to test all the leaders in any church . And if folks continue to teach falsehoods ,
Ya flee them . My advice , flee the RCC my friend while there still be time to flee it .
My problem is not with those in authority , nor do i think we ought to have leaderless churches .
My problem is with the doctrines of men which long oppose the truth of Christ and the true apostels .
The RCC is full to the top and filled plumb full with them . SO too are the protestants in many places .
My advice , understand that we are in a massive falling away . Cling to Christ , learn that JESUS in the bible well .
LEARN all the things the apostels left us in the bible well . EYES WILL BE OPENED if we are OF THE LORD .
SO let me leave you with this message . COME YE OUT FROM AMONGST THEM , TOUCH NOT the unclean thing
and I shall receive You . You will be prayed for as well my friend . God sent grace to one of the worst when HE sent it to me .
SO i am truly trying to help you , not condemn you , But help you . Please take heed to the warning my friend .
The RCC is dangerous my friend .

Where does scripture say to test the apostles or their successors?

Give me an example of what you think is false doctrine

Not the apostles, but what do you mean by their successors? We ARE to test them.

1 Corinthians 14:
29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.

The judging is testing. They cannot contradict the words of Jesus nor the apostles.

BTW, none of them said that Mary was the Queen of Heaven. Nor is anyone other than Jesus Christ a mediator between God and man. Anyone teaching that there are other mediators to pray to is a false prophet. And any denomination that teaches that has LEFT the original Church.

Do you understand why Jesus came and died for us? Was it to preach the Law? Was it to free us from the Law? Why?
Yeah

so we may be made righteous in him

2 cor 5: 21 he who knew no sin became sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in him

to redeem us from the curse of the law

Gal 3: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

to wipe out what was against us. And was contrary to us nailing it to the cross

Col 2: And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

to redeem us

1 Peter 1: 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Having been redeemed we are justified

Rom 3: 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

having been justified we will be saved from wrath

Rom 5: 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath
through Him.

Having been justified, we will become heirs according to the hope of eternal life,

titus 3: 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Having the hope of eternal life we have have faith leading to salvation

numerous passages

really?

mediator has to do with justice only Jesus can mediate justice in the new covenant by his sacrifice and blood!

The apostles and their successors are mediators of truth grace and mercy!

2 cor 5:18

any members of Christ can pray or make intercession

Successors of Moses!

Matt 23 why does Jesus say to obey the successors of Moses?

The successors of Moses sit in the chair of Moses having the authority of the keys and the power to bind and loose Matt 23 and Jesus commanded them to be obeyed! Then the kingdom was taken from them matt 21:43 and given to Peter, Matt 16:18 the apostles, Matt 18:18 and their successors with the authority of the keys and the power to bind and lose!

Jesus said to obey the authority of the successors of Moses mt 23 authority of the keys and power to bind and loose and this power and authority was taken from them matt and given by Christ to Peter, the apostles and their successors, mt 16:18 18:18 this same authority and power must be obeyed!

mt 28:18-20 all authority is given to Peter, the apostles, and their successors requiring obedience, rom 1:5 obedience to the faith!
And Jesus say to Peter, the apostles, and their successors: behold I am with you even until the end of the world!!!
So the apostles have to remain until the end! Revelation 5:10
And hast made us unto our God kings and Priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Reign with kingdom authority (keys) power (bind loose) matt 16:18
The successors of Peter and the apostles have a valid jurisdictional authority (keys) and power (bind and loose) by Jesus Christ!

Lk 10:16
He who hears you hears me...

John 13:20
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

apostolic succession!

explicit and implicit in scripture

Judas was an apostle
Acts 1:17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

acts 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

Matthias succeeded him as apostle

acts 1: 26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

now if it applies to judas how much more to Peter and the other apostles

Matt 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Jesus is with His church and His apostles until the end! So the apostles must remain until the end governing the church administering the kingdom

Mt 16:18 Peter received the keys of the kingdom: (jurisdictional authority of the universal church) and the power to bind and loose:

Lk 22:32
Jesus prays for Peter:

Jn 21:17
Peter commanded to Feed my sheep:

hope that’s not too much for you

Yep

And everyone of those passage, the word believe is a living assured faith. Not just mere belief.

Even demons believe, Mere belief will not save anyone.

We disagree

.....and taken in context, what did the demons actually “ believe” that was being discussed? They believed that there was “ One God”...... that’s all.....

That is highly worrisome . Even the muslims beleive that Jesus lived . They preach another jesus of course .
These are very dangerous and highly deceptive times we are running right into .
The lambs must look out for one another and build one another up with sound doctrine .

That would be VERY Worrisome if any of that were true! Lol.....Fortunately for me , it isn’t

“ Believing That Jesus lived is better than NOT believing that Jesus lived, but it has nothing to do with Salvation—- even Hitler believed that Jesus was an historic living figure...

Believing THE Gospel Of 1Cor15 :1-4 is what Saves any man , this side of the Cross in this present Age Of Grace. If you simply Believe that Jesus Paid for your sins and rose from the grave you are Saved....

If you do not believe that , you need to Repent .....To Repent means to “ change your mind” .....if you are an Unbeliever in the Gospel Of Jesus Christ , you must change your mind to become a Believer in that Gospel in order to be Saved.....

If all of this is too complicated, you could just say to Jesus....”Lord Jesus , Save me”—- that is Enough to get the job done..... that is because Jesus said that, “ Anybody that asks to be Saved, WILL be Saved....

Salvation is Easy.....seeing that one “ NEEDS” that Salvation seems to be both the KEY and the Tricky part to it all.....unless the Holy Spirit opens your eyes and shows you your Wretchedness and your Lost Condition before a Holy God , why would one bother to seek out the Savior That Saves? Like most preachers say....” you gotta get them Lost before you can get them Saved! That was the purpose of both the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount —- to show people that they are Sinners who MUST have a Savior ....You have to learn that you are in VERY serious Trouble if you think that even though you aren’t 100% Perfect, you ain’t as bad as those guys in the Penitentiary so therefore you are “ Good Enough” to get to Heaven....

The entire Salvation process starts with God....” Nobody comes to God lest the Spirit draw him”....that “ drawing” starts with the ConvictionOf Sin....If and when God shows you your True Wretchedness and reveals to you your Hopelessness and Helplessness without Somebody to rescue you.....the rest should take care of itself.....be like the Repentant Publican....cry out, “ Lord, have Mercy on me , a Sinner” .....Jesus said that by praying that prayer with a Contrite ( or Repentant ) Heart—- it got that guy “ Justified” or seen by God as One who had never sinned. It worked for the Publican.....it worked for me....it will work for you....May God “ open your eyes “....and “ open your Heart”..... God Bless...

5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

John 8:32-34
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”...
34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Romans 8:2
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 6:
2 How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.

The main reason He came was to undo Adam's sin and its consequences. He made us FREE FROM SIN, NOT FREE IN SIN.

Challenge, (following the scripture.)

Why is it so hard for folks to figure out the simplicity of truth .
We are soley saved by the grace of GOD through faith in Christ JESUS .

Nothing hard about it. Read the following and see what happened to those who did not do their works...the scripture makes it very clear and very simple to understand.

A quote from Jesus:

The Sheep and the Goats
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Now, for those of you who will take on the challenge, and who think we need do no works in order to get to heaven, will you please tell me exactly what happened to those who did not do the particular works mentioned in the scripture?

Bet I get no answer from faith only. :)

hey BB how have you been lately?

Religion is ordained by God

Ex 2:18 And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LordGod of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.

ex 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Heb 8:2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

How have I been? Indescribably Blessed! Thanks for asking!

James simply described “ pure religion.”..... He never claimed it was God’s Plan for Salvation.... God’s “ Plan” for Salvation is put forth in 1Cor 15;1-4 ......visit all the unfortunate people in the world, but it won’t save you if you think you can ignore the Gospel Of Paul, given to him by Jesus Christ..

Remember many Jews asked. But they also added circumcision and other aspects of the law. And paul called them anathema for preaching a different gospel, also many asked and were hearers not doers, James said their faith was dead, a dead faith will not save you, if it could James would not have warned them

Anyone can ask Jesus to save them, but not everyone has faith they are really a sinner, or really need saved, there are make believers out there, we know them because they live as if they never met Christ, deep sinful lives.

as John said, whoever sins has never seen God,, these people are hearers of the word only not doers as Jude said, their condemnation was for known.

we have to be careful. Allowing these people to think they are saved is dangerous. That’s why James gave a stern warning for them to examine themselves,
