Religion:
the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God
a particular system of faith and worship.
you can’t have a covenant without religion
Religion is what man owes to God for his creation and redemption
If you don't have Christian works you're not a Christian! James said so! Why are you challenging James?
James 2:20 (NKJV)
20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
total spiritual anarchy
No authority of Christ over his church
God is the author of religion
religion is what man owes to God for creating and redeeming him

Dead Faith = NO FAITH! Your license to sin was given to you by Satan.Dead Faith? no Rewards.
NO Faith? Damnation.
They are Not the same....Both are bad.....one is far worse than the other...
so where and what is this original started by Christ?
I find these two statements by Luther to be contradictory. I agree with the first, but not the second.
"We are not made righteous by doing righteous deeds; but when we have been made righteous we do righteous deeds." LUTHER
"No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day." LUTHER
According to the first statement, is the second statement even about a Christian???
How can someone have DEAD faith if they have no faith? If you don't have Christian works you're not a Christian!if one does not have faith (it is dead) there is no salvation.
Amen! In James 2:14, we read of one who says/claims he has faith but has no resulting evidential works (to evidence his claim). That is not genuine faith, but a bare profession of faith. So when James asks, "Can that faith save him?" he is saying nothing against genuine faith, but only against an empty profession of faith/dead faith. So James does not teach that we are saved "by" works. His concern is to show the reality of the faith professed by the individual (James 2:18) and demonstrate that the faith claimed (James 2:14) by the individual is genuine. Simple!how can a dead faith be faith. To think a dead, lifeless faith (mere belief) is equal to saving faith is confusing. How can mere belief save anyone?
How can they believe the power of God in changing a person will fail? I do not get itAmen! In James 2:19, we see that the demons believe "mental assent" that "there is one God,” but they do not believe in/have faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. In other words, they do not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31) and are not saved. Works-salvationists cannot seem to grasp this.

YepBecause Jesus said “ If you Believe In me , you already HAVE Eternal Life , and you shall NEVER come under Condemnation....
Because Jesus said “ For God so loved the world, He gave His only Begotten Son, so that those who BELIEVE in Him would have Everlasting Life”
Because a certain Philippian Jailer was told the following when he asked what he had to do to be Saved...” BELIEVE on the Lord, Jesus Christ......”
There is more.....tons of it....
