Amen!

Jesus provided an example when He asked to have that cup removed here:

"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt" Matt 26:39

Not the same? Of course it is the same. We should always want God's will for us, and if our will is different than His, we should want Him to help make our will equal to His.

According to what Paul wrote, what does God expect from us? A 10% offering? Try 100%!

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Rom 12:1

Consider what this widow gave!

"And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living." Mark 12:41-44
Thank you @amadeus
I only met 2 Christians both called for a time to ministry that followed this Scripture in Mark 10:21 re sell what you have, give to the poor, take up your cross and follow me:

Bible Gateway passage: Mark 10:21 - King James Version

One sold or gave away everything to go to Rwanda but then came back and does healing work. The stage was temporary.

Another sold everything to go save orphans in Haiti.

Most people are arguing over
1. Taxing other people, complaining about wealthy people as greedy
2. Whether church leaders having wealth makes them hypocrites
3. Either judging people for being poor, judging them for being rich, or trying to judge or regulate "who is giving how much to help who" which isn't our business to judge.

Right now I'm more concerned we spread wealth of KNOWLEDGE and understanding.

The real key is Abundance Mentality where people share without judging or fear,
Versus Scarcity Mentality with fear of having to compete with others.

This judging people on appearance of what they look like by their wealth is a form of competing or coveting what others have going on.

We have much greater gifts and blessings than arguing over who is receiving what.

Believe me sister, I have not personally done it. But if God asks us to do this and we know it is Him asking, what then...? Ask Him for help to accomplish His will for us! In that situation He will not refuse to help!

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27

IS WORD OF FAITH, FAITH-BASED OR TITHE-BASED?
It is "faith-based" in that you put your faith in that preacher and he puts his faith in your bank account. And why stop at "tithe", since the more you send, the more you will receive? Or so it is presented.

I certainly believe in prosperity for God's children, but not by giving to the prosperity preachers so they can get filthy rich by begging for money! Did Jesus or the Apostles beg for money? NOOOOOO!

Dear @Addy and @Nancy
1. The False teachings involve
A. Commanding and dictating God's will instead of receiving it
B. Judging people by wealth as a sign instead of focusing on spiritual wealth first where any money or resources needed FOLLOW but are NOT a condition or a criterion for judging people by success or failure materially

2. The true teachings are
A. Accepting God's will and blessings with forgiveness and faith without dictating the outcomes, and reaffirming and living true faith (not the conditional expectations that make this false)
B. Teaching abundance mentality, forgiveness and healing/health to others by receiving Christ Jesus and letting that Authority govern our lives and relations

I have seen both BAD false examples of "faith healing" by calling out commands

And I have seen people genuinely teach that God has abundant blessings for all of us and not to be jealous or self defeating by comparing ourselves to others. But accept our own blessings by faith and not worry what it looks like. This is the exact opposite of judging anyone by poverty or by wealth.

I focus more on Christian Spiritual Healing that is the internal and generational process of forgiveness and growth.

The outward results that follow are not ours to dictate, expect or judge from. Just receiving God's will in the fullest, knowing that is greater than we imagine.

Except that’s wrong.

The authority of a spirit filled, Bible believing Christian, is to do the same miracles and works that Jesus did John 14:12, because they receive the same DUNAMS miracle working power Acts 1:8 that Jesus did His miracles through Acts 10:38.

And the signs that follow those who believe will lay hands on the sick, and they’ll recover.

Jesus came to do the will of God, and He healed every single person who asked, without exception- never once saying, sorry, it’s the father’s will for you to be sick. Gods will is for all believers to be healed when they need it.

James 5:13 promises that the sick shall be healed by the prayer of faith and anointing with oil by church elders.

And much more I could post.

Yes, and we do these things through Christ Jesus Authority embodied in us.

Through HIM.

And yes we will do greater works because there are more of us doing the healing work

But it isn't US doing the healing.
God does that through Christ, while we trach and pray in agreement. We do the prayer and counseling outreach so people learn to forgive in order to heal.

The deliverance is done in Jesus authority alone by God's will not ours.

Yes and No. It is Jesus Authority, not man's. Man's authority cannot confront Satan and demons, it is too dangerous and these spiritual forces know the difference. They attack anything that is our own personal will. These demons are only designed to obey Christ Jesus Authority they cannot deny or refuse. They can deny and disobey man. But not Jesus who God gave dominion over all realms.

If they actually believed what they taught , they would give away all of that money and receive a hundred fold more .
ONLY , they DONT DO THAT . Cause they know better . They just milk the people into giving more .
Always saying its for the kingdom of GOD . YET the only kingdom i see growing is their own addresses . IF YA KNOW what I MEAN .
THEY are charlatons and let no man , no woman , no child believe them .

We already have our prosperity . HIS NAME IS JESUS . HE is who we need . LET THE LORD BE PRAISED .
Godliness with contentment is great gain . Hands up and let the glorious Lord be praised . THE LORD is our helper
and we shall not fear what man can do to us . Praise the King .

The Word of Faith is based on FALSE promises by FALSE preachers who are some day going to be held accountable for the lies they have told against God. The Word of Faith/Prosperity gospel is one that belongs to satan not Christ.

That is throwing the baby out with the bath water …BALANCE within Gods word is what we need …not polarization one one side or the other …which you are doing here.

the devil call sell no lies without it being based in truth , it is worth him selling 2% lies upon 98 % of truth .
People believe that everything that Satan says is lies. Not so …he even quoted from the word of God to Jesus in the wilderness.

This is another topic I keep forgetting to remember is not wise for me to comment on... as it angers and offends me deeply.
I absolutely agree with the points you have made here.

Faith is grown on maturing in the ability to accept and rejoice in what GOD is doing ( His Will )... NOT in what we are COMMANDING HIM to do.
The doctrine of suffering is one that is so precious to the Lord... yet so many Christians try to by pass it... ignore it... avoid it... and REJECT it.

Anyways... My two cents.... It's all about God... and accepting Him for WHO HE IS... NOT what we want Him to DO.

I pray God grant you peace grace and forgiveness not to feel pained at the ignorance of others, but to rejoice at every opportunity to share your wisdom and uplift others.

The more people can forgive, the more we can receive God's will and blessings with faith, without asking or dictating to change it to something we want now.

Whatever grieves or angers you when you see this misrepresentation or false teaching, I pray you can forgive that so God can fill you with even greater and greater blessings.

For my weakspot, I personally hate destructive politics, and used to flip my lid and lecture people, even blow up verbally at public meetings. I had to learn to forgive the worst betrayals, corruption and abuses in order to let God in to fix these things I could not.

I had to stay away sometimes.

But God kept calling me to address the very things I hate the most and cannot stand.

When I struggled with God to understand why send me to deal with this? With both religion and politics, when they cause the biggest messes, God's answer was I was designed to have no tolerance for abuse, bullying, oppression and corruption so sending me in to get involved would change things.

If only people got involved who could tolerate the garbage to keep continuing, then nothing would ever get corrected.
With me, I want it prevented and to help people correct, recover and heal from past wrongs.

Whatever it is you can't stand the most @Addy May God grant you strength, wisdom and peace to change the things you can and forgive the things you can't. So you can focus on making the greatest difference where God sends you in Jesus name.

Take care and may God bless you in abundance and uplift you and everyone you influence with God's love, grace and wisdom.
Thank you and Amen!

Oh my goodness.... these words could very well have come straight out of the mouth of CHRIST to me.... I will take this exhortation and dwell upon all the many IMPORTANT things you have so kindly taken the time to share with me...

You have hit the nail on the head here... I struggle with forgiveness... This has deeply humbled me... and I shall retreat and get quiet with the Lord... God bless you for taking the time to write these words... I shall copy them and place them in my journal.

It is so AMAZING how GOD uses others words if ONLY we will learn to pray before we speak and allow Him to prod us forward with HIS spirit of LOVE. THANK YOU ~Tenderly... Addy

IS WORD OF FAITH, FAITH-BASED OR TITHE-BASED?
The WOF movement is based on scripture. They take literally the verses that says ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find. And, Whatsoever you ask in my name I will do it. Plus a few others.

Are they correct in their interpretation? They think so and so do a lot of other people. And there are people who think they are not correct in their interpretation.

But one has to ask here, has not the church itself encouraged people to interpret the scripture the way they have because let's face it, the church in general interprets scripture to suit itself and generally ignores what the scripture does teach.

As an example the scripture very clearly states that eldership is the province of men. Yet the church even the pentecostals and evangelicals ignore that and have female elders. Does anyone say that is not right and do something about it? Generally speaking churches that ignore scripture ignore any other persons point of view.

So, is WOF wrong? probably not in its purest application but in the application of amassing fortunes tha includes private jets it is.

I have looked into this quite comprehensively and prosperity in the New Testament Church was to have your needs met and enough left over for tomorrow. They didn't concern themselves with selling their donkey and getting a horse or selling their horse and getting a horse and carriage. If God blessed them enough to be able to do that, all well and good.

What was a priority for them was to make sure the poor and needy had a meal to eat each day, bearing in mind there was no welfare system in those days. If you didn't have money you didn't eat. If you were a widow or an orphan that was a reality for you quite often.

So where do we go from here? Can I suggest that you write to the WOF millionaires and ask them if they would liike to donate to your churches concern for those without. Say you need $10,000 for a feeding programme for people on the streets. Especially those without a private jet. If they write back and tell you to ask the Lord in faith, say that is what you are doing because we are asking you in faith that you will give.

Hello Emily, and welcome to CB!
Yes, it bothered me no end how it sounded like they were "telling" God what HE HAD to do because it was in His word. Since that time many years back, I've become a more discerning Christian. Hoping I do not OVER discern, lol...and go the other way and just close down any and all avenues speaking on these things as, Satan is an excellent imposter...
Again, welcome here, and I hope you will enjoy the forums :)
