Hi @Addy . Love your attitude. Let me tell you a little if who BoL is and what motivates him. He's a Knight of Columbus. And a high ranking one in his own little corner of the globe I believe, possibly seeking higher honors by his passionate and determined agenda to carry out the KoC principle goals... To defend the Catholic Church against what they call lies and slander by their enemies. Which is why he so often proclaims in his own little arrogant manner, I will expose and uncover your lies. Which in and of itself is fine, the problem of course it's that BoL in his fanaticism and determined focus fails miserably to discern what is a lie and what is truth. To him, everything the church teaches is the truth. Whether in relation to history or theology or reason, the church, his church of course to the exclusion of all others, is the infallible fount of blessing and salvation to the world. And in good faithful Catholic tradition, look out if you don't accept it.

Some in the Catholic Church are genuine Christians, but not because of the church. The church system itself is not Christian. It is a counterfeit. Any real Christian within Catholicism is a Christian despite the church, not because of it.

The Trinity as defined by the church no doubt. So anyone not in agreement with the church, therefore is not a Christian? So those who believe in the Godhead as revealed in scripture, and only scripture, without the defining machinations and formulas devised by the schools and institutions of the church, they miss out? Jesus told the leaders of His Church that the Holy Spirit would guide His Church to ALL truth (John 16:12-15).

He told them that whoever listens to or rejects THEM listens to or rejects HIM and the ONE who sent Him (Luke 10:16).
It's the reason Jesus identifies His very SELF with His Church (Acts 9:4-5).
And, that's why Paul referred to the Church as the FULLNESS of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23) and the pillar and foundation of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15).

Not ONCE did anybody in Scripture ever say that we only had to believe in the Godhead "as revealed in scripture, and ONLY scripture".
And not ONCE are we told that Ellen G. White or anybody else can change what Jesus has ordained regarding His Church.

@Backlit... It blesses me that there are some... like yourself... who understand the truth of what the Roman Catholic church really is and stands for.
