I thought the Mormons had God, Jesus and Joseph Smith as their Trinity.

Has anyone ver read up on qwhat Mormons believe about the afterlife. It's very bizarre.

I have read all of their doctrine within 3 years. I love Mormons, but - they are lost as far as their doctrine. The good news is many are looking beyond their doctrine......they are definitely open to the work of the sanctification of their hearts - like no other people. I pray for the justification and continued sanctification of all the our mormon brethren .

Okay, or not okay for a christian to take prescription drugs??
I say it depends on the situation but most of them are dangerous chemicals and serious drugs..
Opinions?

i think it would be best if you prayed first before going to the doctor's and let God lead you to the right one who would prescribe the correct medication or treatment for your illness or problem.

Prayer is great if you can separate it from feeling. The fact is, medicine is the best invention humans have come up with; they are generally safe and effective. Get you immunizations and treat your illnesses!

i am reminded of what God said to the king who went to the doctors first and did not inquire of God before hand--you will die. medicines are not the best invention because God has already provided so many natural means to be healthy. humans produce corupptible things and medicines are one of those things and man do more harm than good.. many are made so fallible humans can get wealthy not heal anyone.

Deuteronomy 7:15 (NKJV)
[sup]15 [/sup]And THE LORD WILL TAKE AWAY FROM YOU ALL SICKNESS, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.

Dividing God and doctors is pure foolishness. The Bible tells us that government is in placed by God....why not doctors?

Where does the Bible tell us that God now heals by doctors? Did God change His ways?

2 Chronicles 16:12-13 (NKJV)
[sup]12 [/sup]And in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet, and his malady was severe; yet in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but the physicians. [sup]13 [/sup]So Asa rested with his fathers; he died in the forty-first year of his reign.

God may choose to heal us THROUGH doctors or supernaturally or naturally.

And that's your opinion. Scripture please.

Well, lets clarify this...we are still on the subject of prescription drugs, right? There is a difference about going to the doctor for a upset stomach and getting medication and going to the doctor because you have a broken leg.

I disagree with prescription medication for the most part. I can't remember the last time I took a prescribed medication for anything.

-- Ducky, did you really ask for scripture to back this up?

I have witnessed people within my church be totally healed of cancer. Tests show cancer. Healing service two days before surgery. Dr. visit day before the scheduled surgery. Nothing can be found. No thing.

I have also had people within my church who were prayed for, weren't healed, but they had a successful surgery and are now cancer free.

I have also had people in my church who have been prayed for and had surgery, but still ended up dying from the disease.

Why was the result different for each of them? Level of faith? Sincerity of prayers?.....perhaps.

But God says that His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways.

The Scriptures mention healing by God in several places but never by doctors. God's way is the right way.

Mark 5:25-26 (NKJV)
[sup]25 [/sup]Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, [sup]26 [/sup]and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.

If God heals by doctors Luke would have told us, don't ya think?

Acts 10:38 (NKJV)
[sup]38 [/sup]how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

So if you had a broken leg or something severe like that, you wouldn't go to a doctor? You would wait for divine intervention?

Or are you talking about going to the doctor just for prescription drugs?

God healed me of cancer many years ago. He promised His people healing.

Yeah, I know people too who have been cured of cancer. But I made a specific inquiry about a broken leg. If someone breaks their leg, should they go to the doctor or wait for God to heal them?

I can't speak for others. Only myself. God promised to heal His own. Are you saying a broken leg is too difficult for God to heal?

Exodus 15:26 (NKJV)
[sup]26 [/sup]For I am the Lord who heals you.

Poor Ducky. No interest in the truth. Only scoring points. Good luck to you.
I love the Truth and the Truth is,

Deuteronomy 7:15 (NKJV)
[sup]15 [/sup]And THE LORD WILL TAKE AWAY FROM YOU ALL SICKNESS, (that lets out doctors) and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.
