No...we were not perfect when God the Father sent God the Son.

that is not what I was saying. I asked if Jesus Christ is perfect as the Father in Heaven is perfect? And how does his giving up His life have nothing to do with His being perfect?

I agree with this as a whole....but we are not going to be perfect....not going to happen.
Depends on your definition of perfect. A bud is perfect in it's current state. It changes into a beautiful rose and is perfect. Perfect doesn't mean final goal attained, it means heading perfectly in the right direction. That's all we need to do. What we can do though is cease to sin. Jesus in His humanity proved that was possible, and He had no advantage that we cannot partake of.

Are you talking about Christians?
Talking about Christians that observe the Lord's Day on Saturday....we can observe the Lord's Day anytime or everyday.
But if you are doing it to try to adhere to Jewish Law.....it would probably be better to concert to Judaism.
According to Scripture the Lord’s day is the first day of the week, but that’s getting way off topic

So would you say those observing Saturday as the Sabbath are doing good?
Not all. If you are using it to benefit others as Jesus did, "it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day", then yes, you are doing good. But if you are using it selfishly, just as ah holiday or day off and laze around in bed all day, watch television, go to the theater or the local bar or sports stadium, then that is just serving self, doing things own pleasure Isaiah 58, then that is not doing good.

There are several speculative explanations for this. The best I have heard is that Christ was having problems getting disciples and there are scriptures telling of the excuses they were giving....pertaining to their family. This many have been a statement of exasperation.

unless you hate all these things you can not be My disciple. Do you think Paul had to get over that which he hated, when He became a disciple of Christ?

Actually, it's closer to the topic than you may realize. Our first responsibility in our Christian walk before ministering to others, is to love God with all our hearts, soul, mind, and strength. We can't love others until we first love God. Obeying Him in all things is the first essential without which the second is impossible. Which means if we are going to honor Him at all, we need to do so according to truth. And there's nothing in scripture that even remotely suggests that Sunday is the Lord's day.

Is it? Those murderers, adulterers, Sabbath breakers etc stoned for transgressing the law will ultimately be resurrected to damnation, the second death. That's the same death as Romans 6:23. It's the opposite to life.

Truly understand that. But Christ will not be stoning anybody.

Hate your mother and father to be His disciple....what would be the benefit of that?

Micah 7:6-8 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house. [7] Therefore I will look unto the Lord ; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. [8] Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
Luke 6:32-36 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. [33] And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. [34] And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. (Sometimes to receive praise of the same)

35] But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. [36] Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
Unless you “Hate your mother and father to be His disciple..” even your own life or you cannot be My disciple
Matthew 5:43-48 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. [44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; [45] That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. [46] For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? [47] And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others ? do not even the publicans so? [48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Ooohh. Not sure about that.
KJV Revelation 16:21
21 And there fell upon men a great hail(stones) out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
