I just looked it up. Because of the government demands placed on insurers, like no preexisting condition conditions and other things, to cover the costs they would incur, they raised premiums.

I still have to laugh though because I was forced into Obamacare, but it made my insurance go from $360 per month to 0 per month…
And here I am paying $1600 per month for me and the wife. OH . . . God's actually paying for it.

One of my biggest surprises right now is that our budget is balanced this month. I have no idea how that is, well, I've seen God trim a little here, a little there, provide a little extra on that.

Much love!

I’m still trying to wrap my mind around that…you pay more for health insurance than I make in a year…literally. That’s like 18 or 19,000 a year for insurance. Double what I even MAKE per year.
They won’t be happy until you are homeless like me…

But you know what I never understood? Why, after Obamacare got passed, did the insurance I’d had for years suddenly skyrocket…? Does anyone know?
It may have been very simply as often has been the case, ignorance on the part of the legislators when they went ahead and passed it into law.

Working for the government it was something I saw all of the time. They would pass a law or establish a new policy with a seemingly very good end results as the goal. What they would fail to do is fully understand how complex our whole system is. Even very smart Congressmen and Senators cannot grasp the thing and need good trustworthy experts to advise them. Many of them are not so smart and very likely are quite selfish and greedy.

Then again, very often they will not take the best advice of their advisors and even though their intentions may have been good, they really did not understand why the whole thing fell apart instead improving everything.

How many legislators are not selfish and really are concerned with what is best for the country as a whole and the average "Joe or Jane" on the street? Good politicians learn what the right words to say are so as to get elected or to stay in office. That for them has become the most important thing.

In the case of health care, a very few specialized experts I believe may have understood what was likely to happen to some people such as yourself. Because of the multitude of laws already in place before Obamacare was effective and the rules of the many insurance companies involved... the ones who might have known how to avoid or fix the trouble did not also have the authority to take real action.

I saw parallels to this as a government employee during all of the many years I was working for them. I would see a problem, but seldom did I have the power to do anything constructive about it. Most of the real problems could be fixed by only by someone above my paygrade and the ones up there either had no incentive to do the best thing or they did not know how to do it.

Our system is too big a system with too many ignorant and selfish people in places of power.

When it came to problems like yours, your voice was a very small one and the deed already a done deal before it came to light to one most severely affected like yourself. Most politicians of those who did hear your voice and the voices of those in similar situations would have acted out of political necessity rather than to really fix the system. Legislators did not then and do not now know how make it all better.

These kind of things and my own crumbling position with God impressed on me the need for me to take an early retirement when it became available. Some people think the system can be fixed by having the right leaders and/or the right political party in power, but it is not so. It is a huge snowball rolling down the mountain side growing larger with every foot of distance that it travels and destroying everything in its path.

Trust in God!

There has been this weird thing in my life that has followed me from 17 years old. I always fall between the cracks. Doesn’t matter who’s in power, with whatever they do, I fall between the cracks, starting with what Reagan did with minimum wage when I was 17 and trying to save for college.
I’ve made everyone promise me they have to put on my tombstone: Here lies Jennie. She fell between the cracks. Lol.

Quote by Beto O’Rourke: You don't have one bad apple. You don't have four bad apples. You have a system-wide problem.

now guess whether he was talking about Congress or the police department…

When I was off the other day, I listened to a few minutes of the Facebook whistleblower. I was confused. Social media helped the democrats by scrubbing stories about Hunter and other things that would make them look bad, so I couldn’t fathom why they would go after a company that helped them. I remember briefly thinking something like…if they’ll go after someone who HELPED them, then we are ALL toast…
Laura Ingraham brought it up and was explaining why but it went over my head, maybe just too tired to concentrate.
The Democrats are mad that Facebook isn't doing enough to silence the opposition.
Sure they buried Hunter, but people are still talking about the election audits and covid and the jab.
They're not working hard enough. Whip..snap..
Face book got caught censoring people with the governments consent. That's a no no. They need to be corrected to be more careful.
So now the government has to admit that they have been working with social media to prevent misinformatioin.
Hire more fact checkers, update your alghorythms.. or we'll drag your azz before congress and make you look inadequate.
It's all a show for our benefit. Making us think they are holding big tech accountable. And when they leave the hearing room, they all go out and toast champagne, that they pulled another one over the American people.

But we know..

Hugs

You must make 200,000 a year…!
Not nearly! I'm watching pennies.

Most of our money goes out for rent and insurance (car, home, medical). We get to have a little left over to eat on. We have lots of soup.

Much love!

You've been an encouragement to me you know. About being consistent in trusting Jesus over our provision.

Much love!
