Tents, preaching accept Christ as your personal lord and savior (not in scripture)

I've had to read this over and over asking myself what you could possibly have against these Biblical things.
The first thing I thought of was the concept of Christ being one's 'personal' lord and savior.
Then I thought maybe you resist them because they don't fit into the Catholic church's methodology of how to do things.
