well, he basically admitted to being cult of sol so i dunno...
What on earth is cult of sol . the centurion BELIEVED IN JESUS . THUS HE was truly of GOD . For only the SPIRIT
can reveal , can draw us unto the SON . I think it says he loved God and even built the jews a synagogue .
ONLY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST can save a soul . And any love that says otherwise aint LOVE AT ALL
and COMES NOT FROM GOD . FOR THIS IS THE VERY LOVE THAT COMES FROM GOD ,
THAT GOD DID SEND HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON INTO THE WORLD
that all who do beleive would be saved . And JESUS said and those who dont will be damned .
SO what gospel are you preaching today my friend . The all inclusive lie and false love one , OR the ONE that IS OF GOD
and IS THE LOVE OF GOD , for that loves POINTS ONLY TO JESUS CHRIST . Dont heed the other false one , its a lie for sure .

That is why there is no salvation in the Jehovah's Witnesses
Sounds pretty judgmental to me.....you do not get to judge, unless you are prepared to be judged the same way yourself....the Pharisees were pretty damn sure of themselves too....

You are in the right thread though....how could a belief be more heretical than that of the Jehovah's Witnesses?
Denying the Deity of Christ.
The deity of Christ is not stated anywhere in scripture.....you confuse deity with divinity.....they are not the same. Jesus still serves his Father as his God even in heaven....how is that possible? (Revelation 3:12) Does one part of God worship an equal part of himself? What nonsense!

The only Christian holiday they honor is the day Christ died.
It is the only one that we are commanded to observe.....there is no other. We are told "NOT to go beyond what is written". Please tell me where Christ told us to commemorate his resurrection, especially using the name of a false goddess and using her fertility emblems to do so....(2 Corinthians 6:14-18)

There is no Kingdom Hall in the Bible they do not even call their assembly a church.
You claim to know Greek, but you can't tell that the "church" was the people, not the building. We call our assembly a "congregation" which is what "ecclesia" means....you are showing your superior command of Greek here....
palm

Denying the existence of Hell....
And what "hell" would that be GH?...."Hades"?...."Gehenna"?...."the lake of fire"?...."Tartarus"?
Does that one word mean all of these....are you kidding me? You tell me where it says in the Bible that "souls" go anywhere at death? What does "soul" mean in Greek? What do all those terms mean in the original language....

They try to twist the Greek language to suite their beliefs and I have never met a Jehovah's witness that had a good understanding of the Greek and that includes you.
From what you post, your own Greek needs some work. I go by what the language scholars say.....apparently you rely on your own scholarship....?
If all those Greek words mean "hell", then your command of Greek is very questionable.

if they even knew a little Greek and Hebrew they would know that you cannot have a person, place, or thing in the Bible that starts with a "J" So they named their heresy out of ignorance of the language. The letter "J" or its pronunciation did not exist for another 1400 years after the Biblical era.
Are you serious? Do you know what a translation is? Are you suggesting that all the "J" names in the Bible be changed to "Y" because there is no "J" in Hebrew? All the "J" names invariably incorporate the divine name.....so if you call the son of God, "Jesus" and yet you believe he is God, but you cannot accept "Jehovah"....what is that all about? Do you have to print your own translation so that all the "J" names are replaced? Its called translating into English Einstein....

I am hoping you know the difference between a translation and a transliteration....?

Common mistake but most Christians do not proclaim their expertise in Koine Greek or Hebrew. And that is the hilarity of it all, that they base their beliefs on the presumption that they know anything of the Greek. You want to go head to head with me on the Greek or the Hebrew or the Aramaic....I will take you to school. Probably do pretty good job with Latin.
Humility is not your long suit is it GH.....keep it up, you're doing well at showing us who you really are. So far you haven't impressed me one bit with anything you have posted. You certainly give no indication of any command of Greek.
You appear to be a bit of a legend in your own lunchbox....

There are beliefs out there that hurt people....that threaten their salvation but Jehovah Witnesses work at twisting the scriptures to deny the very basics of the Gospels and Christianity. So how could Christ know them when they stand in front of Him and deny Him.
Oh good grief! There is nothing more harmful to a person's salvation than worshipping a being who is not God. (Exodus 20:3) You have put three 'gods' in Jehovah's place. You want to talk about standing before Christ as judge and explaining that one to him?

It is Christendom that is denying the basics of the gospel by inventing their own....its just been around so long, everyone thinks its the truth....but how much of what you accept as gospel is introduced falsehood from the "weeds" that Jesus said would be planted in the world by the devil? If its about the "fruits"....look at the garbage in your own backyard before you tell us how to clean up ours.....

If you had read my posts most of that has been discussed.
Church buildings could not be built until after the Edict of Milan.
But your people congregate in Kingdom Halls....so congregation...church. It is all about not believing what Christians believe...they attempt heresy as hard as they can. By definition heresy! Look it up.

The deity of Christ is not stated anywhere in scripture.....you confuse deity with divinity.....they are not the same. Jesus still serves his Father as his God even in heaven....how is that possible? (Revelation 3:12) Does one part of God worship an equal part of himself? What nonsense!

No Christ did not go around pounding His chest and saying, Look at me, I am a God! For a lot of reasons.
You really have to be against Christ to not get that understanding.
Son of God....Oh no! He is just a human son! That is absolutely silly!

We have already discussed this.
Horrible torment! Is it fire? Is it worse than fire? They are presenting the worse they can think of, the worst they can explain and it is eternal. You cannot read these scriptures and have a lick of sense and not get they are talking about eternal punishment, whatever it is, how horrible it is. What do you think it is....do you think Christ is going to tell them to sit in a corner for 30 minutes? The Jehovah's Witnesses have a very strong intent to deceive and preach lies. So many lies, Anti-Gospel, Anti-Christ, Anti-Christianity.....the whole effort of the Jehovah's Witnesses is to twist the scriptures.

The fact of the matter is that there may not be a word in any language to describe how horrible hell is. Christ and the Apostles had to work with the languages and concepts of the time period....to describe an eternal punishment that is horrible.

I am hoping you know the difference between a translation and a transliteration....?

I am hoping you know the difference between a translation and a transliteration ...Ya for you it means twisting the scriptures to a lie.
See ya can't have any words for person, places, or things.....with "J's" it is just that simple. For the same reason that you cannot have jet planes in the bibleical era....did not exist yet. Ask a Jew how to pronounce Jericho or Jerusalem. Nothing that sounds like a J in that era. People that know linguistics know something about what happened. But someone that claims they know the Greek well enough to twist everything up, should know that persons, places, and things fall in a different category for translating between languages....it did not matter if it was back then or now the sound of the word is translated into the language. People that met at crossroads that spoke different languages...if one said the Greek word for Rome....the other understood it.

Then there is power in the name of God....calling Him George does not work. The names of God the Father and God the Son can be pronounced in English.

It is not rocket science....you can look it up, it is Yeshua, Yahweh, Yob, Yames, Yoshua, Yacob...etc. A 20 dollar linguistic book will set you strait on that. There is a difference in translating the word horse to English, and then someone's name to English, a city to English.....and then there is the names of God the Father and God the Son....effectively they have removed God's name from the Bible. Then the Jehovah's Witnesses have run a campaign against the Son of God.

Translating the scriptures...one name that can be called upon for salvation, it would be good to know it.

Translating the scriptures is not like translating a Greek manual on how to build a cart. The names of the persons and places that can be spelt and pronounced in English should be translated as they were heard during that era. For example the Hebrew "Y" had an "e" tang to it....e-Yeshua. There were other complexities because the Apostles were tasks with conveying Christian concepts in a Pagan language that was neither Christian nor moral.

Oh good grief! There is nothing more harmful to a person's salvation than worshipping a being who is not God. (Exodus 20:3) You have put three 'gods' in Jehovah's place. You want to talk about standing before Christ as judge and explaining that one to him?

Christ is the source of Salvation....no human could do that. The whole New Testament is about a God....the Son of God that died for our sins. And it is not just what you people say, it is the effort that shows the hatred.....Christ is not a God! We are Anti-Christ!

Humility is not your long suit is it GH.....keep it up, you're doing well at showing us who you really are. So far you haven't impressed me one bit with anything you have posted. You certainly give no indication of any command of Greek. You appear to be a bit of a legend in your own lunchbox....

Just well educated.

Most of the Jehovah's Witness beliefs are anti-God and anti-Christianity....could there be a better definition of Anti-Christ and heresy? I do not thinks so....they are strongly motivated in this effort against the God that walked among us to save us. Just sad and despicable.

So what is the lake of fire which was prepared for satan and his angels, where Jesus will cast all who have rejected him at the great white throne judgment?

You do believe in this do you not?
The lake of fire is Gehenna, where Jesus spoke of those who those who might end up in this place....the devil and his demons, and also those who oppose God and his incoming Kingdom.

So what is Gehenna or the lake of fire?
Jesus said.....”if your eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it away from you. It is better for you to enter one-eyed into life than to be thrown with two eyes into the fiery Ge·henʹna.” He said that it was a place....”where the maggot does not die and the fire is not put out.”

Originally Gehenna was Jerusalem’s garbage dump, in the Valley of Hinnom, just outside the walls, where the city’s refuse was burned along with the carcasses of dead animals and even the bodies of executed criminals were cast there for disposal. Nothing alive was ever cast into Gehenna. Fires were kept burning day and night with the addition of brimstone (sulphur) and what the flames missed, the maggots finished off. it was a fitting symbol of an ignominious death.....one not lamented by anyone.

If you understand Jewish belief in the resurrection, you will know why no one wanted to end up there.
If one did not have a burial tomb or grave with one’s name and lineage marked on it, it was believed that God would not remember you in the resurrection. Gehenna was therefore a symbol of eternal death, not eternal conscious punishment. The Jews did not believe in conscious life after death (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10).....they believed in a restoration of life on earth under Messiah’s kingdom.

Jesus and his apostles gave us demonstrations of what a resurrection is all about.
Lazarus for example, was dead for 4 days before Jesus went to his tomb and called him out of it.
Where did Jesus say that Lazarus was? (John 11:11-14) Did he haul his soul out of heaven and bring him back to life only to die again later?
The resurrection is spoken about by Jesus at John 5:28-29.....where he calls all the dead from their graves because they are all still in them.

Actually Jesus will deny those who reject his eternal gift of salvation.

The trinity and what one believes will have no bearing on ones eternity.
What one believes will have a definite bearing on our eternal future. Beliefs are what motivate actions and influence decisions.....worshipping the wrong god for example breaks the first Commandment, so I think you need to rethink that. Rejecting Jesus gift of salvation can come in various ways.

Three headed monster? You better pray your right, if your not. Imagine how you just offended him.
I know how offended he is by the picture Christendom paints of him.

God is a relational God. He created beings to be in a relationship with him. He created us in his image, and in his image as God bearers. The worst thing for us is to be alone.
So you equate flawed human existence with an immortal flawless God? God is a complete Being, needing nothing from anyone. His dominant quality however is love, which moved him to share life with other beings.

Being created in God’s image had a very practical purpose.....not that we are like God, but that we have his primary qualities....given to us as his representatives here on this earth, where we were designed to live forever. Our assignment was to be caretakers and zoo keepers, looking after all of God’s creation including the earth, and each other. We just had to learn how to drive free will.

So you want us to believe God for all eternity (how long has it been since he created the first angel? (Even if you think it was billions of years ago. How long is that compared to eternity? But a blink of the eye) alone. A relational being all by himself for billions of years.

yeah. Not buying it.
No one said you had to buy anything....God is who he is, and we are who we are......having his attributes, doesn’t bring God down to our level.....nor can it ever take us up to his. He did not create the earth or us for nothing. He already had a large family in heaven before he even created the material Universe.....so those who think that earth is some kind of training ground for heaven, I believe are very much mistaken.

if it helps any Jesus gave some of the highest praise to the Centurion pagan :)
I mentioned this in one of my posts when saying that Christ was also on Earth to save Gentiles who would believe in him and accept him, and not only Israelites.

Jesus always existed at the right hand of God, just not in human form till God sent him to us through the Immaculate Conception and when his work was done what God sent him here for, he then arose and ascended back to Heaven to take his rightful place at the right hand of the Father.
@JohnPaul About the Lord Jesus, John 1 says: "The same was in the beginning with God".

Great and amazing post Aunty Jane, Grailhunter has shown her true ways, and they are not good at all or Christian like at all.

@Grailhunter you called me a Jehovah's Witness, may I ask your denomination, or do you just like to label people without actually knowing but won't say what your title is?

Where did Jesus say that Lazarus was? (John 11:11-14)
- Jesus, at first, said Lazarus "was sleeping."...asleep is always a term that is used for believers in Christ. It was because Lazarus was a believing Jew that Jesus used that term. He would not have used it for a Sadducee because they did not believe in the resurrection. "Saints" is another word that is used only for believers in the Son of God --- living or dead in Christ.

Did he haul his soul out of heaven and bring him back to life only to die again later?
Then Jesus referred to Lazarus as being "dead." This would indicate that Jesus was referring to his physical "body" - not his soul/spirit.

So what happened to Lazarus' soul you ask? Jesus has all power in heaven and on earth. But what happened to Lazarus' spirit Jesus does not tell us. However, since Paul said in 2Cor 5:8..."we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord" I would say that the Son of God knew exactly where Lazarus' soul was and had the power to call it back "in the blink of an eye."

This we can be certain of because Lazarus was "at the table with [Jesus]" in John 12:1-2.

And, yes, Lazarus would have died later and will be raised again at the general resurrection at the end of the ages. We miss the point of Lazarus being dead for 4 days and being raised afterwards because the point he was making is that no matter how long our "dead bodies" (scripture refers to them as being "a tent". are in the grave we too will be raised and, if we believe that Jesus was "the Word became flesh" then our souls will be returned to glorified bodies.

Good bye GH.....on ignore. Shaking the dust off...

No I am not ignoring scripture. The whole new testament is about the Son of God that was given by a God, conceived of a God, that loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son. Walked around among them performing one miracle after another. Served as the Lamb of God and was sacrificed for our sins and resurrected and walked among them some more.

What is the difference between Jehovah's Witness and Judaism? The Jews do not celebrate His death? Why not just be a Jew? The Jews reject the primary beliefs of the Christianity. They reject most of the Christian holidays. Why go through all that trouble to weave a religion of lies. Attacking the Son of God and deny His deity. They focus on God the Father but don't even know His name. Do you know what would happen to a Jew if they heard him praying to a god named Jehovah? It is like the Jews, they do everything they can to damn themselves. What did the Apostle Paul say...But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

What did the Jews think of Christ?....they later wrote that He was either a prophet or a magician. There ya go, the Magician's Witness!

The number one requirement for salvation is belief in Yeshua. Does believing He existed provide salvation? Does belief that He was a man provide salvation? The Jehovah's Witnesses don't even qualify for step one.

Rev says those who do not make it to heaven are cast into the lake of fire prepaired for satan and his angels.

Thats EVERYONE who is not granted eternal life

The worm never dies is a symbol that whoever is there will be there but they will never cease.

What one believes will have a definite bearing on our eternal future. Beliefs are what motivate actions and influence decisions.....worshipping the wrong god for example breaks the first Commandment, so I think you need to rethink that. Rejecting Jesus gift of salvation can come in various ways.
No one is saved because they kept the Ten Commandments, because no one has.

And if your going to say worshiping the wrong God. You better look inside. Because you could be just as guilty.

I know how offended he is by the picture Christendom paints of him.
Then why do you offend him by making him a mere mortal?

So you equate flawed human existence with an immortal flawless God? God is a complete Being, needing nothing from anyone. His dominant quality however is love, which moved him to share life with other beings.
Lol. The soul of the human called Jesus existed before abraham, I would not call that flawed.

Jesus never sinned, not even once. I would not call that flushed

Jesus suffered death, Because that the price he had to pay so you and I could have a chance to get to heaven. I would not call that flawed. I would call that perfect. Because he had the perfect love that no flawed human ever had.

He created us to serve us in a relationship.

We rebelled that creation, which caused our fall.

You try to go into a dark room for a year and never come out and never have any human interaction. Then tell me how you would handle that.

I have no idea what you mean here. I did not insinuate anything you said here.

You should call yourself Christianhunter instead of Grailhunter, with your hatred towards others Christian beliefs you don’t qualify for any step.

Are you kidding! To know me is to love me! I am one the most tolerant and church going Christians on the forum. I fellowship with the Baptists, the Lutherans, the Pentecosts, the Catholics, the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, the Mormons, the Moravian Church and nearly a dozen non-denominational churches and I have had Jewish friends from the time I was a kid.

But I am not tolerant of religions that hurt people. Some hurt people's lives and some hurt people's souls. The OSAS crowd tell people that there is no need to clean up your lives, just believe in Christ, sin all you want and you and all the evil on earth will abide with God in heaven....The Calvinists preach that God is a monstrous puppet master that determined who will go to heaven and who will go to hell before the creation of world. The Jehovah's Witnesses....misery and damnation loves company...they go door to door attempting to pull innocent people away from Christianity, into a religion that offers no hope of salvation.

Whether it is that they deny the diety of Christ or the existence of the God Holy Spirit they attempt to damn themselves and anybody else they sucker into their religion.

The JW's have always reminded me of the Pharisees.

You consider Jehovah’s Witnesses as a religion that offers no help, lol.

And lol again, the most loving person on the forum, I sure as heck don’t get that feeling from you.

I answered your question regarding my denomination yet you fail to tell me yours when I asked you.

Over 30,000 denominations, how could I ever pick....darts?! LOL Now I am not into a one world religion but you could say that I take the Baskin Robbins approach to denominations....31 flavors is enough. My ministry is to the best of those denominations even though they have their own issues.....Johnny Appleseed of truth....Well educated in all the aspects of Christianity. My favorites are the Holy Ghost churches and the Bethel churches and sometimes they are the same thing. I am a theologian and a historian, so I do not have just one denomination to pick.
