This forum needs a bit of trivia sometimes to make a nice change from some of the heavy stuff.
@Pearl Yes. I agree.

In any case, if say at Christmas a young man / grandson HAS just gotten a stud put through his ear, it can be just encouraging for him for a kind family member to say to him: 'That's nice...'

Do you have young male relatives with piercings?

@Pearl When my cousin had his done, he was still quite young; and in any case many/most of the young men/boys at our church have worn earrings at one time or another.

So I guess my 2c would be, if a grandson does have it done, it's no big deal at all and probably makes for a cheerful discussion at Christmas...right? :)

It's not something I'm hung up about and I don't care either way.

I have taken my earrings out for tonight and am shutting down my PC now - good night.

Grandma's all right with it. Grandpa is kinda old school, but to him it's analogous to how boys having long hair was contentious back when he was growing up, so Grandpa just shrugs it off. However, Grandson's daddy was Navy, and he's not too thrilled about it.
Okay, my wife sent me Grandson’s latest picture. Two ear studs in each ear and a nose ring. She says Daddy is NOT pleased.

I'm not for men with jewelry except for a wedding ring. Or long hair really. I'm more orthodox I think.

Ah not worried any way. I'd say only one and depends on the man. My husband wears an earring and looks like a hunk of burning love to me. :p
@Mayflower I think you just voted and I think also I know how... :)

"Looks like a hunk of burning love to me" is an interesting and poetic way of describing the way his earring makes you feel about him, anyway...

Yes. Two earrings look better on a lady in my opinion.
@Mayflower Thanks! @Lambano anyway was just telling us about his grandson:

Grandson’s latest picture. Two ear studs in each ear

Since the late 70s, teen girls - and their moms - were putting two studs in each ear (I know some women still prefer the conservative, minimalist 1 each side only; maybe you too?) but it seemed to be the catalyst for young men to start having 1 ring in 1 ear...
