Sure Grace will be glad to. The parable was about a change in rulership over God's people. When Jesus came to earth, they had gotten quite corrupt, severe class distinctions between the shepherds and the flock. The rich man is easy to identify for two reasons, who the parable was spoken in front of, and the fancy garb they wore. He was referring to the Pharisees, who had elevated themselves over the people of God. Jesus actually told them point blank: (Matthew 21:43) . . .I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and be given to a nation producing its fruits.
There would be a turn around, the abused sheep referred to as amaharets, would be given the Kingdom, and the rich man would seek just a bit of what they used to have by appealing to Abraham (God). but they would find no comfort as they had rejected all attempts by God to help them.
It took place just a short time later when the new covenant took effect on Pentecost of 33CE with the outpouring of holy spirit on Jesus' disciples who were gathered that day. Jehovah did keep the law covenant in effect for another 3.5 yrs though as a transitioning period. That is our take on it maam. It was a prophecy that was fulfilled rather quickly, unlike most in Scripture.
