Paul says (paraphrasing), "I don't consider myself to have attained salvation, I'm not yet perfected, I will keep striving for the victory."

Are Christians not in a battle, EG? Do Christians not partake in spiritual WARFARE?

Fight the good fight?
Wrestle against the enemies?

If so, what are we fighting for? If we can't possibly lose, what are we fighting for?

Hint: If you're not in regular spiritual warfare, battling every day for your faith, then there's your problem right there. The enemy doesn't attack and harass those who are unsaved. So, in that case, you'd be right - you can't lose something you never had to begin with.

Men ALREADY SAV-ED, do not ENDURE.
Men WHO BELIEVE, but that are NOT SAV-ED must ENDURE, ie. remain IN Belief to RECEIVE Salvation, at their physical Death.

Do you Comprehend, the difference between BEING SAV-ED, before physical death....and BECOMING SAV-ED after physical death....because he ENDURED, kept believing to the day of his physical death?

A SAVED man does not KEEP ENDURING, keep making sure he continues to BELIEVE until the day he physically Dies.

The Bread of Life is Jesus' Words. We must ingest them daily to absorb The Words of Eternal Life, and to keep their concentration up in our spirit. They should be fresh in our mind and in our memory; we should memorize scripture to keep our Sword of Truth sharpened. And we must study to show ourselves approved of God. We must keep the oil in our lamps fresh and full. Or were the virgins without enough oil allowed in despite their lack of oil? NO. It just doesn't work that way. They failed to keep their lamps maintained and missed out.

There are requirements for salvation. The parable of the virgins shows that 5 were Wise and prepared and 5 were Foolish and completely unprepared. How can that carry over for the OSAS debate? It's pretty straightforward. Those who strive to overcome all sin and work to stay approved are the Wise ones. Those who rest on false hopes that they are as perfect and prepared as they'll ever need to be and will be welcomed into heaven no matter how soiled their robes are, these represent the Foolish ones.

The contrast between the regenerated and the unregenerated person regarding constant or habitual sinning is clearly seen in 1 John 3:9.

Unfortunately, the NOSAS has no understanding of 1 John 3:9! The wages of sin (singular) is the commandment of God. Ultimately, that makes every sin habitual.

The believer, we learn, does not have the sin habit. Neither do the redeemed defiantly continue in sin.

True. The believer does not have the sin habit BECAUSE he is born from above therefore, he cannot sin! Don't get me wrong now, he is still capable of sinning BECAUSE in his body he is NOT YET SAVED until the last day, but only in his spirit essence was he saved [Romans Chapter 7]. Read up on the branches that were cut off. In the meantime, thousands of Jews have been condemned to eternal destruction for hundreds of years. This is why we need to remain faithful "all the days of our life." Paul understands this conflict between our carnal nature and our spiritual nature when he says In Rom 7:24 "What an unhappy man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is taking me to death?" The answer in verse 25 is, "Thanks be to God, who does this through our Lord Jesus Christ!"

Jesus saves and keeps eternally the repentant sinner. The only time we need to worry is when we fall away from Him and lose faith, or like many unbelieving Jews, JW's etc who reject him altogether. Their end is worse than their beginning. But please do not use the kindness and love of Jesus as a licence to sin, this makes a mockery of him, and God knows a deceitful heart.

In regards to Matthew 7:22-23, these many people were not genuine believers who believed in Christ unto salvation. (John 3:18) Jesus NEVER knew them which means they were NEVER saved.

In John 17:3, we read - And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. The term "know" implies intimate, experiential knowledge, through a relationship with Him and not merely theoretical knowledge.

The Holy Spirit may not leave you every time you sin, but He is offended. James 3:2

And we know that sin separates you from God.
