Well, patience IS a fruit of the Spirit...Hah! You are too patient! You are so patient that you have accepted a lack of power as your lot in this life!

John Wesley postulated that it was possible for a child of God to achieve "Entire Sanctification" in this life, though he would not claim he himself had achieved it.
Do you believe that this is possible, and that a lack of faith keeps believers from even trying?
Well, patience IS a fruit of the Spirit...
Two problems:
1. When a child of God expects to never fall down again, and then does, it can be devastating to his faith. Did Father pull the power? Maybe I was a bastard child all along.
2. When a child of God has success in walking, the Evil One makes him proud in his heart, and he thinks himself better than those children who do fall, and they lose their empathy. We've both seen this many, many times, including on this board.
our hope is not in our sanctification but in him who sanctifies.....we have a saviour!
I am tempted to ask you if you claim to have achieved Entire Sanctification yourself, but will hold my tongue. That's not for me to ask.YES! I will answer you again - YES! Can two walk together if they’re not in agreement about where they’re going and not in agreement it is even possible to get there from here?
to save us from ourselvesHope in Him for what?
Today I have more hope than in previous years. Today I see myself in more need than Ive ever seen myself.to save us from ourselves
1. Did Father pull the power? Or did the child never have the power yet but thought he did because others told him he did?
2. Do you think that describes me? Answer honestly, it’s okay.

Do you know how devastating it is for child to realize that he was never really loved and probably never would be? I bear that scar on my soul also.
2. Do you think that describes me? Answer honestly, it’s okay.
Does it always have to be all about you? Pray with the Psalmist, "Search me, and know my heart O Lord. See if there is any wrong thing in me". You will ALWAYS need to be on guard for this temptation.
(C'mon, you know I've seen your heart and been touched by it.)

3 And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:3-5)
