What year(s) was this? Our Navy boy did his basic training at Coronado in ‘92. We flew out for his graduation and had to stay a few extra days when Hurricane Andrew wrecked Miami that year (to tie back to the “tornado” sub-thread). San Diego is a great place to ride out an Atlantic category 5 hurricane.

I lived in San Diego for a few years. Also was stationed at Camp Lejeune when I was in the military. Both super great places!

i had it rough, no dad around and being less than 5 feet, and also having adhd, and people getting mad at me about my child with a slight developmental disorder so i cried a little bit, got train sickness, bit angry about it especially since i don't have any idea what i am doing here and would have never agreed to it

I think you're projecting your own ideas onto God. God does good, he caused the flood and wiped out everyone that was evil except a few that would follow him towards good.

There are people that hold onto one verse and disregard all the rest. Keep in mind this is God talking:
