It is a plumbline for a Chinese translation.Yeah but you also think the KJV is what should be used for say a Chinese translation. It's nonsense.
What, should you use the RCC Bible, NIV or NWT for language comparisons instead?

Yes the KJV is the Bible. I am KJVO. I teach from it and recommend my students to use it exclusively. Are you one who thinks the KJV is actually the Bible sir? I used to.
No, it is fine now.Which version of the KJV? I highly doubt it is the 1611.
Completely false. The basis for all new translations is simple.
Money.
Why else would a fella spend 8 years in Bible school?Completely false.
I went to Bible School for 8 years. Do you think I did it for notoriety and money? What a STUPID comment. Also a lie. You are sinning by bearing false witness sir.Why else would a fella spend 8 years in Bible school?
A burden?
No, he wants his degree and notoriety for money.
The new translation he creates is his crown jewel for dividends.
Too bad.I went to Bible School for 8 years. Do you think I did it for notoriety and money? What a STUPID comment. Also a lie. You are sinning by bearing false witness sir.
What makes you think you cannot evangelize while in school? Another stupid comment from you. I did not waste time or money and I am biblically sound, unlike you.Too bad.
You wasted your time and money.
You should have obeyed Acts 2:38 and avoided those schools that teach you to disobey and ignore Acts.
You should have obeyed Acts 2:38 and went straight into evangelizing it like the Acts church did.

I know all about the censorship of biased forums that cannot argue, but instead ban their opposition. The only reason to be a KJVO is that you have a closed mind. Another forum has banned KJVOs permanently, and for a good reason. A closed mind is nothing to be proud of!

Hi, I would love to hear the community’s feedback about using an update to the King James Version. I love the KJV. But the translation is in the main about 400 years old (spelling changes were made in 1769). So if there were an update that simply and accurately updated the KJV, making no changes except updating the archaic language, would you want to use it? What would be your thoughts generally about such an update? It would be great to hear what you all think. May God be glorified.
*Update April 17, 2022: There is a project going on to update the KJV. www.kjvupdate.com
Sure, it costs money to publish. That is bizarre! Do people not spend money to buy KJV Bibles? Their publishers rake in profits from selling KJVs.

Weak and frail administrators.
You realize the same thing can be said about translations such as the ESV and NASB as well right? That's not special to the KJV.
No, the KJVO's get bashed, insulted then banned.Your assumption for the reason of the ban is false. They banned KJVOs because they went on and on and on and on, dogmatically insisting that everyone who doesn't use the KJV is deceived. Sound familiar?
It depends on what you mean by use. If you mean I will use a KJV updated version as my final Word of authority? No.
But if you mean I will use an updated KJV version to help me to figure out what the Cambridge KJB 1900 says… then… yes.
I use Modern bibles all the time, but I don’t simply make them my final Word of authority. Modern bibles are only helpful in updating what the KJB says. Updated versions of the KJB past the Cambridge 1900 Edition all have some kind of changes that are a problem (even if they are subtle changes).
