Who is the arbiter of truth!

You can decide.
You can decide what is true.
You can decide what is truth.
You can decide right and wrong.

Not one of these are found in scripture!

Found in scripture!
Taught is found 79 times
Instructed is found 19
Instruction is found 33

who decides if I cannot decide for myself?
The Acts Apostles only, via Jesus(Holy Ghost).

Everyone else must line up with them or else....

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

But YOU do NOT "believe" .

You have REMOVED Jesus NAME from baptism and replaced it with a generic "SON"
Is the name of your son = son?

Further, you replaced baptism itself, which is immersion / burial .... and replaced it with "sprinkling"

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
[4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Therefor you do not have the name nor the burial with him. You have denied him.

You don’t believe His eternal words in Matt 28:19

acts 2:38 does not say to be baptized in the name of Jesus!

The command to be baptized per Matt 28:18 is what is given in the name of Jesus Christ not baptism itself

Why reject the words Jesus Christ?
Why reject the word of God?
All for the sake ago a 16th century novelty and heresy of “faith alone”!

Faith and baptism!

Matt 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mk 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

Jn 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God

Acts 8:36-38

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God

Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism.

Faith and baptism!

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture, inspired of God…

Scripture does don’t say!

Mk 16:16 he that believeth is saved and Should then be baptized"?

Mk 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

God said "thou shalt not kill". Period!

Jesus said "Love your neighbor as yourself", the opposite of killing.

So treason is punishable by the state. What does that have to do with the church? Where -- anywhere -- does it say that the Roman Catholic denomination has the right to kill those who disagree with its (false) doctrine?????

a misnomer you have a right to kill in self-defense or defending your country or defending the innocent
The state’s authority from God to execute justice can never be called murder!

the church only decrees them to be heretical the state must punish them as scripture says

[QUOTE="Truther, post: 1314253, member: 8451"

Acts 10: 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.

is this ok? It’s not in the name of Jesus as you say, or as acts 2:38 puts it in the name of Jesus Christ
But Christ is who he is not his name

Matthew is not the only account of the great commission...

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Now let's see what the apostles did with that...

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:14-16

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

If you do a word search for "Father, Son, Holy Ghost" - you will get only one (1) hit = Matt 28:19
Jesus was telling them what to DO, not what to repeat verbatim.
