I agree...but what has that to do with the unsaved saying they are without sin, or the saved saying it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me?
We have already been over your second point. I don't know of the unsaved saying they are without sin, who has said that? I haven't accused anyone of being unsaved

1 John 3
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

Thank you for confirming you cannot answer the question. Many come onto these websites believing they know far more than they do. That's why they are here. Some do have much knowledge(I'm not speaking of myself). But the majority only think they do

Every time I read something like "Many come onto these websites" I immediately refute such nonsense. Have you actually polled "many" people, or do you just form a self-righteous opinion about them: "that's why they are here".

You sound like a self-righteous fool!

If many on these websites knew as much as the think they know they would not be here. They would have a flourishing church, standing room only, as people flocked to hear the message they preached

That statement is idiotic! How do you know why people are here and why they are not? You're just being judgmental of others, people whom you've never met.

It sounds to me like you're jealous of people who actually know something!

Not really. There are a few on the internet you can learn from. But they are few and far between. I wouldnt be jealous of them, just grateful for what I could learn from them

A few on the internet? So out of the many, many millions -- billions? -- of people on the internet, there are a few that you can learn from? How very modest of you!

If I were you I would start trying to learn from those on this forum. Stop being so high and mighty, sir.

It isn't a case of being high and mighty, just being honest. Most come on these sites to try and impress others with what they think they know, that's just a fact. The ones who know the least just copy paste endlessly the literal letter, anyone can do that. People revel in debate, that's why they are here. They have studied endlessly, but it doesn't seem to have gotten many that far.

I would go so far as to say the average pew sitter, who has studied little knows far more of what is important than many on these sites who have done nothing but study. Making a god out of head theology never works, it is not Holy Spirit inspired

Of course this doesn't apply to you, right? You don't come on this sites to try and impress others with what you think you know, correct?

"People revel in debate, that's why they are here. They have studied endlessly, but it doesn't seem to have gotten many that far." Naturally, you're clearly blessed with all knowledge and wisdom, correct?

So, why are you here? To correct the masses or ..?

Oh I never stay long. I know spiritual growth is best attained outside of these sites. A few days maybe, a week at most when I get bored or am on holiday from work

That is like a mediocre line for a stand-up comedian. What do you know about "the average pew sitter, who has studied little" and how much s/he knows?

The Holy Spirit wants all people to come to a knowledge of the truth -- including you. Being ignorant and/or stupid is nothing to brag about!

What the holy spirit wants and what the academic mind strives for are two very different things. The extra biblical demands that get made on these sites are frankly ridiculous. They are certainly not Holy Spirit inspired. Pew sitters are far more likely to just accept biblical demands, not would be scholar and theologian demands

The fact is social media has now become the norm in society and these forums are just another form for information. I have been on them going on nearly 3 decades now. And the fallacy the poster made is obvious. There are many many well known pastors/scholars that use the internet as a medium for teaching and sharing Gods word. This medium in no way replaced the local church and our responsibility to be plugged into a local body of believers. I'm on a few forums and know pastors who post frequently on them. And they have effective ministries in their churches. So the poster has created nothing but a strawman argument. And these forums have many different reasons for being here. Some to learn, others to have their faith/doctrines challenged, others seek advice and prayer. And other might feel more comfortable sharing things in this medium vs another way. So it serves multiple purposes for different reasons for many people. But to come in here with both guns loaded in full attack mode is not the best way to build the trust of others here and for them to hear what you have to say.

Well maybe it's time for you to leave!
What would God prefer, debating on the internet, where people seldom, if ever change their minds, or evangelising the message outside of it? No wisdom in making a god out of debating

Another stramwan. I personally know several people who have changed their beliefs on forums. I myself am one of them.

Any more fallacious arguments and assumptions for us today ?

BTW
Where do you set the bar for not committing sin?

Being born of God.

1 John 3:
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

If we have unkind thoughts of anyone, is that sin?
If we have impure thoughts, are they sin?
If we are self seeking in any regard, is that sin?
If we get angry without just cause, is that sin?
If we put other things before God(anything) is that sin?

No, No, No, No, No.

To be honest with you, I constantly fail where I believe the bar is set at, not to commit sin. But am I happy to fail? No. Do I seek to excuse my failures? No. Do I hate my faliures? Yes I do. That is very different from being happy and content to sin as much as you like. No, I am far from being perfect in my flesh, but admitting that, does not mean I seek to excuse my shortcomings. I would prefer to admit it, lest I crush someone else who mistakenly beleived I was at a place I am not at, and they then feel huge guilt for not attaining to where they percieve me to be at

I was naturally born in sin.
I was naturally born not knowing of or knowing the Lord God.
I corrupted my soul in my body.
I heard, learned, read, studied, believed, read some more, studied some more, got to know about the Lord God, and Learned According to His Way He Offered me a Way to become WITH HIM FOREVER.
By my own Freewill I chose to call on the Lord and MAKE a Heartful repentance and commitment to the Lord God.
I fully Trust the Lord God is Faithful and Gave me exactly what He Promised.

I was forgiven and received the Lord Gods Promised Works within me.....and SIN NO MORE.

My Sin was Against God. Only God forgives Sin.

Trespasses certainly can and do occur between and among myself and other people. I may Trespass, they may Trespass. And there is Scriptural teaching (for anyone not knowing), How TO correct Trespasses against another or when an other Trespasses against you.

Yes, people can and do all day long trespass and forgive each other of trespasses. <—- Completely different from committing a Sin.
(You probably already do that...bump into someone, say sorry, excuse me, pardon me....You Trespassed, then said for your Trespass, SORRY, and may also asked to be EXCUSED, PARDONED, which is asking them TO EXCUSE, PARDON your Trespass. They say, okay...Done deal.

Not once was I ever commanded TO Believe IN, Have Faith IN, Trust, Look to a person as my Savior, etc.

Glory to God,
Taken
