@Dropship Yes, well...it's been a man thing for so many years.Well my late dad had dragon-type tattoos on his arms from his youth, and I think a nephew has got some on his arms.
@shortangel They are very widespread, of course.no i've never visited a tatoo parlor where faith based tatoos are, i'm not against people who have them though
forums dot thewelltrainedmind dot comI would be hard-pressed to come up with more than a handful of names of my friends who DON'T have at least one tattoo--and we are all suburban homeschooling moms, ages ranging from early-30s to mid-50s, living in conservative North Texas.
@SERVANTedu I guess that placement gives the wearer a lot of choice as regards tattoo visibility....although I work in full time ministry none of my tattoos are visible and I'm not sure I want to get one that can be seen out of the "t shirt line"
source: mamapedia dot commy husband is covered in tattoos and is a corporate lawyer. ... I have 3 tattoos myself.
Hi @MatthewG So is this still a plan of yours to have done? or is it now kind of in abeyance...Yes all I gotta do is set up an appointment with someone at this point. Would like a cross openly expressed on my hand, as it will be a sure fire way of being noticed. He is the one we live for, and he is the one whom died for us, the cross is where we go to die to ourselves, being then buried with Christ and raised in Christ to new spiritual life. That is where the journey of a Christian begins.
@L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3dHere are two ratios I got just a bit ago with a hard ear piercing off the lobe. Thanks for your encouragement.
@TakenI use to mentor during their incarceration, had elected to have quite a number of in prison tats. Not impressed with the mishmash of tats, but do understand a sort of claiming, the prison system controls their body, but doesn’t own it.
allnurses dot com...one of nursing school classmates.. was also a tatoo artist prior to nursing school. In fact she tattooed alot of our classmates.. I had 2
@Taken
Yes, interesting reasoning there.....
I saw this quote also:

A lot of nurses have it done. This is undeniable.
In the quote above, perhaps the reasoning you referred to has a comparable reasoning, such as: "We look after other ppl's bodies; and we feel the need to have something special about ours."
Perhaps this explains why such a lot of nursing school classmates all wanted it.
@dhh712 As opposed to talking with someone in those circumstances, have you maybe been caused to think about the content of a faith-related tattoo?I just never have talked with anyone based on that.

Because all the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed whom I have come across have seemingly done it for witness tool reasons. It can of course be a silent witness, as well as one which actually brings about conversation.
I thought the dragon tattoo-sleeve on her right shoulder and upper arm was very professionally done.
allnurses dot comI am a nurse in a cardiac ICU. I am also pretty heavily tattooed. I am a well educated, well rounded nurse, and was raised with strong morals and manners. .. I am an extremely traditional person.
@Taken Well, yes, there may be all kinds of reasons and each person comes individually to being ready. For those who reach the age of 18, the weeks and months and years subsequent to the big 18 seem to mark huge numbers of potential tattooees soon becoming "ready".I think individuals get tats for all kinds of reasons, from simply liking, to a bonding with a group, as a tribute to an other, a dare, a reminder of something, etc.
