Once again , he includes only the first half if this verse ....this subtle little move is no better than a Lie...shame on you.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

The 2nd half disqualifies the non-believer. .However, should he/she come to believe, THEN is baptized shall be saved.

The scripture I used walked though the importance of both. To get the Spirit, we need to go through the water as part of the born from above process.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

I believe we should be water baptised but it is a symbolic ritual to other BELIEVERS for statement of our crucified, buried and resurrected self !

However the baptism of the Holy Ghost is imperative in our walk for the functions set in order of the body of Christ, which provides helps, discernment, teachings, preaching, evangelism ECT.

They said they were defeated, discouraged and I was the devil, but kept coming for more daily.

After nearly a year, they all got baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and nearly half their congregation followed them and their soon to be saved families into a Jesus name baptizing church.

Also, the Catholics sent a spokesman and said they all wanted to kill me.

Nobody tried it, but all saw it my way eventually.

Why doesn't Acts 2:38 mention water, as in each one of you be baptized in water?

Baptism is immersion. Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ means immersed in His name. It cannot mean immersed in water or Peter would have said "Repent, and each one of you be baptized in water".

They were baptized in Jesus' name for forgiveness of their sins, which can only be done by God. By being forgiven in the name of Jesus Christ they received the Holy Spirit. Water baptism never gave people the Holy Spirit. (And never will.)

John 14:26, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and will cause you to remember everything I said to you."

I hate to "burst your bubble" about this verse, truther. You clearly obsess about it, but God's word says what it says.

And Paul was trying to Save Souls...he had a choice....Did he choose to Save Souls by Baptism? Nope...He writes that he “ was not sent to Baptize” .....that would be a strange position to take if he is trying to save people and THAT is the Way to get the job done ......What Route “ DID” he take.....He preached what he referred to as “ HIS” Gospel ( the One Given to Him by Jesus Personally) ....Paul said that he preached Nothing But “ Christ Crucified”.....not even a “ mention” of water baptism.....much less, the “ performance” of it......

According to your “ Wet Hair” Gospel, It must have been “ Dumb” God that pitted Paul against Peter during their contentious debate at Antioch....Peter was wrong about several things and he “ stood Condemned” as Paul boldly called him out before the crowd of Believers...If you had the sense and the humility to go beyond Acts2:8 you would see that Peter Lost out every time he argued with Paul, whether the debate was about Peter being a hypocrite and refusing to continue eating with Saved Gentiles when the Jewish Religionists came around, or if the debate centered or “ getting your hair wet” being the ONLY way to get the Holy Spirit.....in the end, both men came together and agreed that Paul was correct and “ BELIEF” in his Gospel ALONE was enough to enable one to be Blessed with the Indwelling Holy Spirit....

Of course the TRUE “ Acts Skippers” never See this....They get stuck and Acts2:38 and just * SKIP” the rest of the Book....That’s about as “ DUMB” as trying to preach the Book Of Revelation and thinking you are an expert teacher of that Book when you read the first two Chapters and quit! With apologies to the “ You just might be a Redneck” comedian, Jeff Foxworthy , If you don’t make Water Baptism the ONLY way for a man to get Saved—- you just “ might” be an “Acts Skipper”......Essentially , you take a beautiful Rite that God has created for His Saved Children — *AFTER* they become Saved , as a public testimony to the world, and you Unbelievably turn it into an Idol....You make Acts2:38 the “ end all and be all” of the Word Of God and completely ignore Paul’s Gospel Of Grace, Found In 1Cor15, that is God’s actual Plan Of Salvation in this Present “Age Of Grace”....It is becoming better known as “ The Wet Hair Gospel Of Truther “ .....
