In that case you'd better go round knocking on monastery doors and telling the monks to get out into the world to preach..:)
A monk once told me- "When we pray, we carry the whole of humanity", so who's to say they're not doing a good job in that respect?
Furthermore Jesus said-"The work God requires is to believe in the one he has sent" (John 6:28)
And Paul said- "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12 KJV)
The moral of that is we should always look to saving ourselves first, before trying to save others..:)

It is my personal belief that most Monks are just “ Super Religionists” that think that they are “ earning” there way to Heaven by their “ ceaseless praying”.....

The Bible most certainly says “ pray without ceasing”...... so some , if not most , of those Monks force themselves to get up around 3 am in the morning and engage in meaningless prayer for Six hours thinking they are impressing God ....

The Religionist can only “ Ape” what the truly Born Again Christian does naturally....Throughout every day, I “ Talk” to God quite often n prayer.....I dint set aside certain times and dedicate myself in constant prayer for three or four constant hours—- their ain't NOBODY that engages in that type of praying and whose mind does not wander and get way off track.....That ain’t what Paul meant when he said “ pray without ceasing”..... I pray all of the time and it comes natural —- just like almost ALL things do when the Holy Spirit is involved....

Jesus never told anyone to hide from the world. We are not to be OF IT, which is a different concept.
In fact, just the opposite is true for real believers...
We are to bring Christ's Life and His Light into this dark world.
This is OUTSIDE the church walls and certainly not in a dormitory or Monk's cave.

Hiding in a closet, or in a room, or in a cave, is not the will of God, unless its a sabbatical that is to equip you for a mininistry that will manifest in the world, and never in your room, hiding away.

I wonder what exactly monks pray about anyway, but if it's something like "please bring Trump back to the White House" I think they're doing a good job..:)

I suppose it all depends what we feel our own personal calling is, for example I know I'd make a terrible street preacher, but I do much better with the written word in internet forums..:)
"We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is preaching, then preach in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show charity, do it cheerfully" (Romans 12:6-8)

Never trust in yourself and your self EFFORT, to go to heaven, as that will fail you, 100%.
Always and ONLY Trust in Christ to get you there, as its only Christ Himself who makes you worthy to go.
Jesus is THE WAY, and there is no other. John 14:6

Yeah - I can't get to heaven unless He does it-

But it goes farther than that!!!

My self effort doesn't even get it done here on earth. It is written to seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you - soooo to only imply that applies to getting to heaven is missing our on the more now!! He did promise us more now and in the next life, right!

So I am not just preaching Jesus Christ, and Him and the Word of God and King of kings, for the next life but for this life too!!!

Of course none of that mean that I don't need to put in an effort, but it only means I need to listen to Him as to where and when and how to put in that effort!!!

Jesus said something about His mothers, brothers, and sisters being those who hear the word of God and do it. The hearing must be the first thing, and that from putting in the effort to seek Him as the King of the Kingdom of God. Then that needs to be followed by putting adding in my effort to fulfill the 'and do it" part.

Mark 3:35 “For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother.”

Luke 8:21 But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

Note: hearing is not the same thing as reading!! So, we read the Bible to find out that the Lord is there for us and let Him teach us out of it-- but if we are even hearing and learning from Him then an effort needs to go into the specific learning what He teaches us.
