LOL...no I don’t accept your teaching.

The body is the same body that becomes glorified.
The soul is the same soul restored.
The spirit is the new creature born of Gods Seed.

I see the only thing left to restore is our body - Romans 8:10. But it doesn't make us sin; only our nature makes the body sin like its puppeteer. In the New Covenant the laws of God are written on our heart. The heart is our soul and conscience. Just by obeying our conscience we are accepted by God 1 John 3:21. "If our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God." What could be simpler? "My yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Our spirit and soul make up our new nature which together are reborn leaving only our body to die. The old man of Romans 6:6-7 is what Paul calls "the flesh" in Romans 8:9. That is our old carnal nature that was taken away by Christ and recreated, filled up with His Spirit.

In 1 John 3:5 we see that Jesus takes away our sin. But not one sin at a time, but the whole nature that caused us to sin. The whole kit and caboodle.

@Taken never seen someone so afraid to answer a simple question. Rather entertaining I think.

I'm having difficulty in following the thread...........
The issue for many here is an apparent unwillingness to know and understand the true nature of Christ and how God condemned sin in His Son's body on the tree. Taken has run in every direction but in the one provided by the Apostle Paul. I'm sitting back watching the headless chickens run in every direction...its such a simple question and let look at how far they run from it?

I'm late to the party. What was your question Aussie.

I've already posted #305 and #324. They may have answered it already.
Taken cannot answer how God condemned Sin in the body of His Son.

Romans 8:3

With a correct understanding the answer is within the verse.

It's your only response Taken - the well is dry!

Already addressed you.
Not afraid of you, not running from you. Not interested in what you say.
Go hang with your human Jesus, I have better things to do then play in your mud pit.

Jesus was without sin. "Condemned" is the same as "crucified," and Romans 6:6-7 shows that it is the sin in our flesh that was condemned and taken away, and we were crucified with Christ and we are reborn of the Spirit by His resurrection so that we can walk in the Spirit. We don't need the written law of sin and death; we are no longer in the flesh but in the Spirit.

Lets change it up then.

Romans 8:3 For God achieved what the law could not do because it was weakened through the flesh

Fact 1 God achieved something!
Fact 2 The Law could not achieve it because our flesh nature could not uphold its requirements perfectly, but rather the Law only intensified sin - hence our flesh nature made the law weak (though still righteous and holy).
Fact 3 What ever God achieved He did so "through the flesh" meaning His victory was in flesh not external to it!

So how did he achieve the Atonement - the Redemption of Mankind?

By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

Location of the Victory = in the flesh
How = Raising a Son in the Condemned line of Adam
What is the enemy = Sin
Where is the enemy located = in the flesh (the source of sin) i.e that which comes out of the man defiles him

So the question has been asked countless times.

How did God condemn sin in the body of His Son?

Isn't it the Jehovah Witness sect that teach Jesus was just a man?

IDK. All the “this group” and “that group”, is sort of like Drugs...Really don’t much care about all the particulars.

I am content with Jesus’ Church, Anywhere, Anytime, Preacher available 24-7, no locked doors, particular clothing not required...
Being on a forum such as this, is an eye-opener to some crazy stuff!
