An amazing slot on Radio 5 yesterday about the Queen's 'evangelical' faith. She met with Billy Graham, against the wishes of traditional clergy. She prayed on her knees every night. Her Christmas messages became more and more Christ centred. And the only book she ever allowed to be published in her name, was by the Bible Society, 'the Servant Queen and the King She Serves.' She had a personal relationship with Christ, and the Queen has now met the King face to face!

The monarchy in the UK is more than just a figure head. Our Queen was able to go into all sorts of volatile global situations and smooth things over in areas where a politician wouldn't be welcome. The monarch works with the government and shows impartiality in all things. Our new King - Charles III - is a compassionate and sensitive man; a people person who, like his mother, is down to earth and possess humility. God save our King.

Scriptural premise. Shall come to pass, but will be a crown the Lord bestows to her, rather than a crown from men.

Glory to God,

That is what she believed and that is why her reign was so successful. She had no airs and graces, she may have been born a royal but everybody who met her says how genuinely interested in them she was.

Prince Phillip died on the 9th of April 9th 2021. The Queen died September 9th, 2022.
:( 70 years married. It must have been a great loss for her to bear.
They were actually married in 1947 before she became queen in 1952. Until the death of King George VI she lived with Phillip in Malta as a navy wife.

A great+uncle of mine was in the US Navy, WWII. He was from a small town in the States. Not sure off hand where their ship was But the Queen visited their ship. They were all lined up on deck as she walked by greeting and shaking hands with the Sailors. When she came to my uncle, a photographers snapped a photo. The picture was printed in his home town paper. He never made it home. Their ship was attacked he went down with the ship, drowned. He did write home about meeting her. He was Memorialized Manila, Philippines.

That' must be a good family memory. Would it have been a very young Princess Elizabeth who was a driver and mechanic in the ATS during the war or her mother Queen Elizabeth?
