1 Corinthians 2:11 - For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The Trinity is only not clear to those who have not had their spiritual understanding enlightened by God the Holy Spirit
Prior to my conversion several years ago, I was very confused about the Trinity. I saw God the Father as Almighty and all powerful God, yet I saw Jesus Christ and junior or inferior to God the Father (yet still powerful) and I saw the Holy Spirit as a bunch of guardian angels. Talk about confused! It was not until after my conversion that I understood that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are co-equal in essence/nature.
What's in it for these anti-Trinitarians to downgrade Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to 'less than God' in essence/nature? There is God and there are angels and there are humans. What fourth category does Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit fall under according to anti-Trinitarians?
