Well if you can show me in any of the NATO rules where nations had to be on the North Atlantic to count then I am all ears. When the soviet Union broke apart, the four oblasts and Crimea became part of the Ukraine! Russia did not say that they did not want to give it up. They gave it up! It has been part of Ukraine for 3 decades now! Putin comes and wants them back! so insteasd of actring honorably- he does exactly what Scripture says about selfish people:

Well when you invade another country- it is war!

As for the Asov brigade- they are only 800 strong! They cannot be in many cities and fighting Russians as well.

But the Azovs are thuggish I admit and have killed civilians. Not as bad as Putin's mercenary Wagner group but thuggish nonetheless. What bothers me about those who downplay Russian atrocities is just that, they have destroyed so much infrastructure in Ukraine killed tens of thousands of innocents in this war and you and others do not wish to bring that out!

Yes the Azovs are brutal. But why do you reject all teh civilian reports of Russian atrocities on civilians, like rape, forced quartering, stealing food, clothes torture and forced conscription?
