I think that trying to demonstrate to many Christians that the original scriptures said NO SUCH THING is an unfruitful endeavor. While Hell is punitive, it is punitive for the purpose of restoring and purifying. It's also temporary.
I encourage you to look up Young's Literal Translation online and put in verses that talk about "eternity" or "everlasting" and you will see that the verses are mistranslated by most English bibles
According to the Parallel Bible, between YLT and the NIV, and the rest of the English Bibles, KJ21, ASV, AMP, AMPC, BRG, CSB, CEB, CJB, CEB, DARBY, DLNT, DRA, DEV, ERV, EHV, ESV, ESVUK, EXB, GNV, GW, GNT, HCSB, ICB, ISV, PHILLIPS, JUB, KJB, AKJV, LSB, LEB, TLB, MSG, MEV, MOUNCE, NOG, NABRE, NASB, NASB1995, NCB, NCV, NET, NIRV, NIV, NIVUK, NKJV, NLV, NMB, NRVA, NRSVACE, NRSVACE, NRSVCE, NRSVUE, NTE, OJB, RGT, RSV, RSVECE, TLV, WEB, WE, WYC,
AND THE EXPRESSION IN YLT,
punishment age-during,
MEANS, EXACTLY ETERNAL OR EVERLASTING. No, I am not trying to argue
, but it is your translators that made the error. They changed the meaning of the expression. It is only the difference is between VERY OLD ENGLISH expressions, and Modern English expressions that mean the exact same thing.
Wouldn't you agree, that false Interpretation is busted, every which way but LOOSE ? ? ? But you go ahead and believe what you want to, and we will Believe what the BIBLE SAYS.
