You did not address this... you went on to say....
Because they did not refute what I said.
Gods people, those who have been born again, do Good works. It is not a requirement, it is a by product of being born again.
col 3: 23 has nothing to do with being born again. so there is nothing to comment on
To be born again, one must draw God's attention, no??
No. God draws YOUR ATTENTION
How do we draw God's attention....by our faith and our deeds!!!
No.. Our deeds are as filthy rags. Our deeds are meaningless and in fact sin if we are not born again.
The pharisees thought they got Gods attention by their deeds. all religions teach this, This is what separates religion from true Christianity.
You can not pay for your sin by your deeds. the penalty of sin is death, thats why you must be born again
Able succeeded to draw God's attention, now we must also do so in order to be born again, to be born of the Spirit. So, I will ask again, are you Cain or Able?
John 3:20, 21
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
I am neither cain nor able
I was a lost sinner. who was dead in sin, Who God DREW TO HIMSELF. and I repented and recieved his free gift of salvation. Not because I was worthy, Not because of my deeds. But because of the work of Jesus on the cross.
John 3 -
10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven,
that is, the Son of Man [
b]who is in heaven. 14 And
as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should [c]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Please tell me wher Jesus told nicodemus it is his (our deeds) that makes us born again? and gives us eternal life
