We are saved by the Living word of God...

The Holy Bible is so very ALIVE!.....it’s the Spirit who relays the message of God straight to our spirit and of course that takes time to learn and understand...which must be done through the Holy Spirit....I believe everything is in God’s timing.

I know for me my heart is the one that needs to be open to receive God’s word and again he opens it for our minds to understand.
...of course our hearts can also harden, as I learnt yesterday....I know I have been stubborn.
Just my thoughts,Brother.
Jeremiah rightly said, the heart of man is deceitful above all things. We cannot trust our hearts/mind/intellect to discern right from wrong. So our salvation is certainly based on scripture, which in turn is made known to us through the Spirit of Christ dwelling within us.
There are conditions to understanding truth. First is a willingness to obey the truth once it is revealed, otherwise God will not reveal it to us. Second is to possess a love for truth. Not a love for what we believe to be truth, because we could all be wrong on many points, but rather a love for truth as a principle in the life. And a love for the Way, the Truth, and the Life before all else. Of w have a love for truth, of we have determined to obey truth as it is revealed to us, the promise is then that we will grow in understanding, and not be deceived by the many lies and deceptions that Satan brings. Particularly the great final deception of Satan impersonating Christ, for which event the world is now being prepared through Christian nationalism, Hollywood, ecumenism, Gaia worship, pantheism, the occult related "Christ consciousness" movement, and other "strange teachings". All of the above are linked to Rome. Mother is even now delegating to her apostate daughters the responsibility to unite politics and the church, creating an image to the mediaeval beast.

Triangulating? OK, show me one or two. Badmouthing others? I'll look for those examples also. I've never been shy to apologize when I'm wrong. Show me the ones you have in mind.

Somehow, I'm not perplexed at your replies to me. And how your badmouthing someone else has now expanded to me.

What a surprise! /sarc

Much love!
Yep. F2F has a history of demeaning those He disagrees with.

Theoretically you are correct. Anything that contradicts scripture is indeed false. But @St. SteVen had a valid point.
Thanks for your posts.
Early in this thread some were pretty sure that I was the enemy of everything right and true.
So caught up in their tribalism and echo chamber. Not open to my comments and questions.

Even more important to get to know the author of the Bible, then ask Him to teach you His word.
Yet most know HIM not at all . And yet most can and often say they do . They often chant all day long
GOD is love , yet know neither GOD or HIS LOVE .
A hint .
Though a man cried ten thousand times a day , I LOVE GOD , I LOVE CHRIST , I LOVE HUMANITY
and yet LOVETH NOT THE HOLY WORDS in that bible THAT GOD INSPIRED
i tell us all that man IS DECIEVED and has NO LOVE FOR GOD , FOR CHRIST nor love for humanity .
Let us go and learn that .
IN the meantime allow me some parting PRAISE to the LORD

Wow! I looked at some of this, yes, he is really off into the weeds!!

Much love!

(Talking about the video by the cult leader). Yes, he certainly is!

I watched the entire 30 minutes to see what was being taught.

He has no understanding of imputed righteousness or sanctification. He thinks Jesus needs to speak more words to us to purify us before coming again! And not the words in the Bible....but Jesus coming in the flesh to speak the words to us, thus the secret arrival.

Some stuff he said I wonder if he understands Christ's divine nature....

specifically what are those multitudes of strange teachings??? Thanks, Daniel
So many cults. New ones, too. An epal mentioned a new one having to do with the bride of Christ. She wouldn't even talk of it, it was so odd.

Theoretically you are correct. Anything that contradicts scripture is indeed false. But @St. SteVen had a valid point. When the Reformation began in the 15th-16 century, everyone was coming out of Catholicism based on the evidence of scripture that exposed not only the false doctrines of Rome and her flagrant ignorance of and disdain for the word of God, but even more so the fact that the scriptures identified Rome as the Antichrist. For those hearing Protestant teaching for the first time, it was new, and sadly, every subsequent truth that the reformers revealed from scripture, was opposed and condemned as heresy by the earlier reformers, and then persecuted those who accepted these new truths. The Lutherans persecuted the Calvinists, the Calvinists persecuted the Baptists, the Baptists persecuted the Methodists etc.
Today, many modern evangelicals and Pentecostals criticise those who in the past who were coming out of Catholicism but hadn't received complete light and understanding, while at the same time adopting modern concepts that were rejected by the reformers, such as dispensationalism, the prominence of the nation of Israel in Bible prophecy, and antinomianism. And they have abandoned the one doctrine all the reformers agreed on, the identity of the Antichrist? And why? Because they have actually abandoned the scriptures in favour of popular fictional novels and movies, awaiting a fictional lone ranger atheistic Christian despising anti-semite tyrant taking over the world. In order to arrive at this conclusion there is no harmony in prophecy or in its interpretation, but stand alone texts are cobbled together to fit into a predetermined futurist hermeneutic. All the evidence that the reformers had from the scriptures and history is ignored. So who really is the cult these days?
Need to pin this one!

We cannot understand any truth of God’s Living word...not until we have been “ Birthed/ By the Holy Spirit....now that is a birthing that only God can do...humans can’t birth themselves into Christ...much more to it than that...we are drawn to Jesus by God..then there is the repenting/ Godly sorrow....of course there would be no rebirth..without believing in the name of Jesus..

God is the one who opens the heart,,you cannot open your own heart, read about Lydia how God opened her heart...also you don’t need to read a bible to be birthed in the Holy Spirit.

God’s word is very much Alive and Active...I’ll stick with what I have been taught by the Holy Spirit..who is in my spirit...only he can lead us through scripture to understand it and it’s all in his timing.

Without becoming Born Again, we know absolutely zilch...even as a new babe..I knew nothing, only that I was Born Again...went out and bought a Bible straight away...Without his Living word the Bible..once one becomes Born Again...that is their Living word...which builds them up , feeds them all that food they need...for without the Living word of God...a Born Again would die.

The Living word of God lives in our spirit, we are the Born Again.

Hebrews 4:12(NIV) For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

I only follow God’s word, which can only come from the leading of the Holy Spirit.

All Glory and Honour is God’s alone....I’m here to worship, Glorify, Praise,His and only His Holy Name!....in Jesus Name ...Amen!

Even more important to get to know the author of the Bible, then ask Him to teach you His word.
You can only get to know the author of the Bible.

By being Birthed in the Spirit/ Born Again ...which is a Living spiritual birth....his word is Alive in Spirit and he testifies with our spirit that we are children of God...he does that through the Power of the Holy Spirit....which is very much Alive and Active.

Remember God made Adam from the dust of the ground..and he took a rib from Adam and made Eve...that is the mighty power of God’s hand.

We have that power in our spirit and his name is the Holy Spirit....the power we have is to Glorify God/ Jesus in everything that we do....

In other words it’s all about God....we die to ourselves once we become Born Again...it’s hard dying to the flesh, becomes much more easier as we learn to let go and submit to the Holy Spirit.

It’s called the sanctification process...we are being made into Jesus image..that can only happen once we become Born Again..as we have received that vital birthing in the Spirit.

Without becoming Born Again, there is no Living relationship with God....Without that vital key ingredient so to speak....the Holy Spirit.....Without him we are and can do NOTHING!!

All knowledge of God’s Holy Words comes from the Spirit within us, he also brings us to an understanding of his living word.......it’s a Living relationship that needs to mature and grow...

We get to know our Father through his living word the Bible.....
Romans 8
Berean Standard BiblePar ▾
Walking by the Spirit
(Ezekiel 36:16–38; Galatians 5:16–26)
1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.a2For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set youb free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin.c He thus condemned sin in the flesh, 4so that the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace,7because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the fleshd cannot please God.
9You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alivee because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the deadf will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.
Heirs with Christ
12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation, but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him.
Future Glory
(2 Corinthians 5:1–10)
18I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God. 20For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but because of the One who subjected it, in hope 21that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
22We know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until the present time. 23Not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he can already see? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently.
26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words. 27And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
God Works in All Things
(Ephesians 1:3–14)
28And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. 29For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.
31What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34Who is there to condemn us? For Christ Jesus, who died, and more than that was raised to life, is at the right hand of God—and He is interceding for us.
More than Conquerors
(Psalm 44:1–26)
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
“For Your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”g
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

SteVen is a cloud without water!
Jud 1:12-13 These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; (13) raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

I remember this book being around in the early 1980's

Eph 4:14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

That's the best reason I can think of to NOT be concerned about doctrine. Thanks.
(but maybe that's not what you meant)
Remember that Living word “ YOU” received from God....NO ONE can erase that Living word from God....it was delivered straight to your heart.....I can 100% relate to your testimony.

Also remember, you are a child of God...the enemy hates that...NEVER listen to his lies.

God revealed something to my heart, which unfortunately I can’t share at the moment....the enemy bombarded me with lies...my mind was a battlefield...even though I knew in my heart it was the Living word of God...that enemy drove me crazy Brother with his lies...thankfully God got me through..where my mind is now lined up with my heart, if that makes sense...the two are at last in “ Harmony “ with each other....Praise God for that.

Sorry off topic,Debp.

I just felt the need to post.

When we’re in the flesh, we are being hostile to God and not pleasing him.

Of course he won’t stop us acting out in the flesh ..or even reacting to the flesh.

He’s teaching me all about the flesh at the moment....what it means to walk in the flesh.

He’s also teaching me the peace, joy, obedience, etc...by submitting to the Holy Spirit ...therefore walk in with the Spirit?

I’m sure that makes sense to you.....the more I submit,Debp....the more he teaches me his way....the flesh can be such a hindrance to our growth.....

I only watched five minutes of it. He was giving biblical support for his claims.
Which doesn't make it true, only supported biblically.

Is that what you found when viewing the whole video. All statements supported somehow.
Albeit very strange connections being made.

Do you believe the man is not "saved"? That he does not have a relationship with Jesus Christ?

Jesus was quoting Isaiah here. Speaking to the religious leaders of his day.
And about the laws they had piled on top of the law that God gave to the Israelites through Moses.

Isaiah 29:13 NIV
The Lord says:
“These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
is based on merely human rules they have been taught.[a]

Yes.
Like a direct quote of this scripture below.
(came to mind as soon as I read your post)
I think the word "governed" is very important here.
We shouldn't beat ourselves up for wanting a cup of tea.
(fleshly desire?)

Romans 8:7 NIV
The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God;
it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BTW: we also need to understand what the term "God’s law" means.
It's not the law of Moses. See my topic on the subject. Thanks.
This understanding of flesh is all new to me..I thought I knew what It meant..but, I only knew what it meant in my head..God’s Holy Spirit had to reveal its true understanding to my heart/ spirit.
Before any of that could happen I had to let go of this darn flesh!....it just doesn’t want to die!
I’m sure this all makes sense to you.
