The soul is immortal.
Psalm 23:6 David says, “I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

In John 5:26 Jesus says, “The Father has life in himself.” This is another way of saying that God alone is immortal. The immortality of the human soul, that is, its quality of continuing forever, is a reflection of God’s nature in us. God alone is without a beginning or end.

I probably wont get my way its okay do you buddy.
The whole holy spirit field is a mess everywhere both in our churches and in our culture. The Catholics helped with a lot of this when they wiped the spirit off the planet by making it God. So we speak about the soul and spirit and think it all means the same. Plants have a body. Animals have a body and a soul. When God said let us make humans in our likeness was when He gave us spirit. So humans became body, soul and spirit. I believe, but am not sure that Adam and Eve gave their spirit back. And that's when God said if you do this you will die. That makes sense because the body and soul do not give us ever lasting life. The spirit of Christ does.

Dont trust you, with you being manipluative. Not good. Telling me how i feel and stuff… not good. You have no right to interject with my hope.
I am not trying to be manioulative, just telling you how it is. If your hope is not rooted in what Gods Word says, it is a false hope.

Don't trust me, trust the Scriptures. it will show there is no repentance after death.
Never seen that, but okay. Im studying Gods cup of wrath right now. The bible is good to use every day and for study. I use a thompson chain nasb 1995 and a cross reference Nasb 2020 bible.

Much of the Roman Catholic doctrine was assimilated into Protestantism and is still being passed along as Christian groups continue to split off from one another. In a nutshell that is why even the independent church in your neighborhood today most probably believes that there is a trinity, dead people are alive, God is in control of everything that happens, the Four Gospels are written to Christians, and water baptism is relevant. And then there's everything that you know about our sin nature was taught to you by them.
Reqouting yourself doesn't make it right. Just your opinion. I would love to see your biblical defense for the statements you made above.

what doctrines do you believe are not biblical and are just Roman Catholic and were assimilatred in to protestantism?

So you are a unitarian?

You believe in non existence at death?

God is not in total control? there are forces outside of the control of God?

You reject water baptism as an ordinance of the church?

Well as you have not queried me about what I know about trhe human sin nature- I chalk that up to arrogance on yopur part.

I would like to see your rebuttal against these beliefs you say are an invention of the RCC.

Matthew 10:28-- And do not become fearful of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, but fear him( God) who can kill both body and soul in Gehenna.--proving your error. The soul is NOT immortal.

Revelation 14:9-11

King James Version

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Proving that the Watchtower has lied to you!

NASB is a great bible

I cross reference with 35 English translations. but to learn deeper, I go to the Greek and Hebrew to study the verb tenses.

Did you know in the Greek that there are 580 different ways a verb can be written? Each of them has a nuanced difference of meaning and some radical differences in meaning that do not appear in nearly all English Bibles.

That is why the truth of no repentance after death was established in Scripture! and kept through the centuries. Men of God looked at the wqord as written.

Cool. Its great thing for everyone to be encouraged to think for themselves, abide in the spirit and take time to study. You have a good one.

Is God sending people straight to hell today?
Have you ever spent some time deep in a very dark cave? Or in a very dark movie theater? Then, come out into the noonday sun? You can't stand being in the sun! The light hurts your eyes! You usually cover your eyes and run back into the dark!

Similarly, if we die separated from God, we won't be able to stand being in His presence and will willingly choose hell! In a sense, though, since God created everything and its nature, He does "send" us to hell. It's His "system" of existence.

But its done away with according to Revelation, friend. Today there is just darkness and light like you said, @Augustin56. What baffels me is that even in Revelation there are people outside in the darkness, outside of the kingdom. That is where I see faithless people going to today. I dont understand why people continue to see hell as being active, when Yeshua has overcame it, all the souls were dumped out of it and it was thrown into the lake of fire with death, Satan, the false peophet, the beast… with souls coming out of it; then being thrown away with. There is no one going there today. It does not make sense to believe otherwise.

You don't believe the JW bible?

Revelation 20
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Why do you hate truth?

Symbolism--Only a sadist would create a literal eternal suffering, an unjust being at that. Meet the true God-God is love, merciful. All of his ways are justice. Which God does your religion serve?

People were never sent to hell.
When a Living Person Dies, he is no longer a Person.
Living Souls departed out of a Dead unbelieving body’s were and are still being sent to hell to wait for Judgement Day.

Its so amazing that just this topic alone has so many different responses, some via opinion, some via scripture, some via tradition that has been passed down.

May people be encouraged to study.

Even through the differences God still dwells in you by faith.

Its like some people are hoping to watch people be put into the lake of fire and rejoice with God.

“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20‬:‭11‬-‭15‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

However that is not the case the Revelation doesnt stop here…

But Death and Hades (Hell) (Sheol) is cast away “after all the souls from within it came forward, and the sea and hades.

It's the truth of the Scriptures. Let's start with the water since you say you want to see stuff. What part of the following is just my opinion...

Water baptism is a carryover from part of the Levitical Law. There are many examples of people in the Old Testament who would wash themselves with water as a final step to being clean. Water baptism was an outward sign of washing, and then you would be clean to God. Baptism in water, and the need to be circumcised passed away with the coming of Pentecost, as did the other Levitical Laws. To be led by the spirit is to not be under the yoke of bondage with the extreme of legalism, seeking the works of the flesh from the old covenant concerning the past Law administration that was written to Israel.

It's clear from the gospels that water baptism had to do with the kingdom, which was ministered by John who was known as the Baptizer, and not a minister for the Church of God. John who was a prophet functioning under the old covenant was appointed by God to prepare and confirm the promises made to Israel. His message was to tell those who lived under the old covenant that the king had come and “the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” He used water as a sign to baptize those who believed the promised Messiah would be coming in just a matter of months and to illustrate that he would be the Christ, who would baptize them not with material water, but with holy spirit, which is “power from on high.” From the habit of tradition, and only for a short period of time, a small handful of people were baptized with water into the New Testament, but never again afterwards.

In the epistles written just a little bit past the beginning of the New Testament is where we read the only time water baptism is mentioned is to note there is no more need for it, and that we are now to be baptized with holy spirit. And this is why in Acts 2:38, Peter commands “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ.” In Acts 8:16, Peter and John “baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.” In Acts 10:48, Peter “commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.” In Romans 6:3, it declares “that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ.” There is not one exception to this practice where we see water baptism, which belonged to the time period when Christ walked the earth, being used once the Church of God had become established.

That's quite ironic coming from Kingdom Hall! What do you think I just quoted? TRUTH! A better question is why do JW's HATE the Christian Bible?

Rev 20
