Romans 14 shows that observing a day as special is a personal matter, and is not binding on everyone, but you don't care, you're lawless against the Scripture.
Nope, Paul is addressing Judaizers running around saying we must keep the Feast Days, so Paul told them, hey, if you want to fine, if not, fine too.

No Jews anywhere in Paul's day would even think for a moment that eating pork or breaking the Sabbath was now acceptable.

See, what you blind liberals fail to understand is how upset the Jews got over the notion that circumcision was no longer necessary - but we're to believe that prohibitions against eating pork and breaking the Sabbath were lifted without so much as a New Testament peep? Absolutely absurd! There would have been a citywide riot if that were the case!

Yes, that would be the Law of Christ which is a higher standard than the Law of Moses.

Law of Christ (Galatians 6:2, 1 Corinthians 9:21, James 2:12, James 1:25, Romans 8:2)
The guy is possessed of idiocy--he outright rebels against the reality that Christ CONDEMNS the practice of some Torah Laws as "of the evil one" (Mt 5). His skull is impervious to Truth! Not something to be proud of but here he is ranting and raving emptily as if he had something to say! God have mercy. I'll be done with him in a moment.

Oops, in the exact same context, Paul says he is convinced nothing is unclean in itself! LOL! You don't know the Word.

LOL! Actually, all your empty rambling, and taking a single verse out of context, does nothing to convince someone who is appraised of the entire context.
I've taken NOTHING out of context - it's YOU who refuse to acknowledge the concluding statement that defines the entire passage: that if we're resting inwardly in Christ, we'll rest outwardluy on Sabbath. You can't explain it, you can't spiritualize it, you can't deny it...so it's "out of context", right? LOL

Well, we've laid out our views, haven't we?
All we can do now is leave it up to the readers to decide for themselves who has produced a more compelling argument from Scripture.

I'm not moving you with what I've said from Scripture, and your empty clanging isn't convincing me, so we can move on.

Look up the Greek word and you'll see it's "common". Paul is saying, "I'm convinced that "common" is just a made up Pharisaic bulldookey category found no where in God's law".

Look, man, this ain't my first rodeo. Look it up. The word is "common", not "unclean".

No, illiterate, because he proceeds to say "to the one who believes it is unclean/off limits, for him it really is unclean/off limits", and, later, stipulates, "the one who eats with doubts sins and is condemned, because what ever is not of faith is sin". This is an issue of sin and righteousness--and what makes it righteous to do is is the person has a conviction from the Lord, "let every man be fully convinced in his own mind".

Yes, and the readers see that you've denied without explanation the plain command of Hebrews 4:9 that the Christian is to keep the Sabbath day holy.

Also, you've failed to answer whether the Christian is at liberty to break the 1st commandment or obligated to keep it.

Also, you've failed to explain why it is the Jews kicked up such a fuss over abolishing circumcision but supposedly are totally fine with abolishing pork-free menus and the keeping of Sabbath.

Hopefully, they're asking the same questions you prefer to ignore in your pursuit of error.

Illiterate, look how the word you want so badly to not mean what it clearly means has been translated THROUGHOUT THE NT.

It's not your first rodeo, but, if your performance in this one is any indication, it's not a surprise you still haven't learned anything.

I'm satisfied with the answers the Lord has helped me provide.
You have nothing to say.
We'll be done here pretty soon.

Here's a relevant passage...

1 Timothy 4:3-5
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

I know I'm not interested in eating certain animals... but if faced with starvation then fry 'em up!
I'll pray over it and eat it like it's steak! amen-prayer.gif

Don't call me "illiterate". Mind you tongue, son, you have NO IDEA who you're dealing with. I've been studying these issues out for 20 years and I assure you I'VE TRIED HARDER THAN YOU TO DISPROVE MY POSITION.

Again, Paul is NOT talking about the Ten Commandments or the laws of clean/unclean which existed BEFORE Moses.

Isaiah says Jesus is going to burn up bacon eaters at the Second Coming and you've FAILED to explain that one away.

It's always the same with you theological lightweights. You blindly refuse to see any other way.

When Paul says, "...nothing unclean of itself", the word there is INCORRECTLY TRANSLATED, understand?

Look it up..it's "common".

LOL OH MAN SPECIAL GUY EVERYONE BOW DOWN. That's why your punishment will be to be made to bow down, fool.

Revelation 3
9Behold, I [f]will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and make them know that I have loved you.

The punishment fits the crime.

So, anyway, each of us provided our answers, and neither of us is changing, so there's nothing left to say.

My burden is not to have anyone bow, but to defend them against the kind of satanic lies you preach. I drop 100 megaton truth bombs on you but you seem immune to them, as well as the fallout.

Still refusing to explain Isaiah 66:15-17 KJV? Don't worry, we know you can't. But, you're as a stubborn as Saul before Samuel.

"Behold, to obey is BETTER than sacrifice, and to hearken, than the fat of rams".
"For rebellion is as the sin of wichcraft, and STUBBORNNESS is as iniquitye and idolatry".

How about you ANSWER Isaiah 66:15-17?

How about you ANSWER where the Christian must keep or is free to disregard the TC?
