The tax collector fell on his face. Unable to even look up to God crying out for his mercy.

wonderful reminder my friend . yet i have seen many use the tax collector as a means to justify sin .
so lets examine that .
Notice it says THE TAX collector fell on his face , total repentance mode .
Yet today under guise o the false love
it would read , the tax collector held up his rainbow and koran , justifying his sin not rather repenting of the evil of it .

When absent from the Lord...Paul picked up his cross daily. Otherwise he would not be a disciple of Christ.

But Paul also says this...I am crucified with Christ...it is no longer I, but Christ. So then on that level (being present with the Lord in Zion) he is no longer burdened with his own cross. Instead the cross of Christ is bearing him.

A paint by numbers diagram may be required to show how the Christian walk is dynamic...not always the same thing. But whether present with the Lord or absent, we should do all to be accepted by the Lord.

It appears to me what Paul is stating is that Christ is living through him?

Thus its far more important to know what john was speaking of as being OF ANTI CHRIST .

I don’t understand the tax collector falling on his knees...I understand that it is God who brings us to Godly sorrow/repentance ....

IT IS GOD who would bring us to repentance . Its the SPIRIT that convicts , that even draws .
Yet if one is claiming the SPIRIT and yet their version has led them to the acceptance of sins , THEN IT SURE AS HECK

I have never met a person who uses him to justify sin..

Only a sacrificial disciple allows for their own life to be fully swallowed up by the life of Christ. That is the lesson of becoming the Bride...to let go fully one's hold on life. Even Paul would have had to learn this in stages...going in and out of the Spirit...until one day the love of God could constrain him to remain in the Lord no matter what was being offered to him outside the Lord. Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere.

Not me , not you , or any other are ENTITLED to our opinion . We are simply to HONOR the TRUTH of ER WORD OF THE LORD .
And if dangers and errors are seen must be exposed . EPI is dangerous rita . whether or not you can yet see this .
If any would teach the people THEY MUST FIRST be of the UPMOST MINDSET and remind folks OF THE DIRE NECESSITTY

What I’m speaking of isn’t of being the bride, rather Paul is encouraging to be a Man in the body of Christ. What this man is is a perfect man,
