Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

I really don't understand all of the oversimplification surrounding the treatment of LGBT people.
One person will say they must be loved enough to be honest with them about their sin.
What does that even mean? If my daughter who lives in my home tells me she is in a lesbian relationship:
When do I tell her she's in the wrong?
What do I say?
How often do I bring it up?
Do I kick her out if she doesn't change?
I could ask a dozen more hypothetical questions like this.
It seems like many people have the attitude that there's a one-size-fits-all, turnkey packaged solution for this, and as someone who's been through it, I can testify that if you're not prepared to wear your knees out praying, things are likely to go very badly.
By the grace of God my family successfully negotiated the crisis, and I can guarantee no one could give me an instructional list of verses that would match what we went through.

I don't know, treating people decently is a pretty simple concept.

Their definition of love is an abomination to us, and our definition of love is an abomination to them--darkness and light have no fellowship, flesh is contrary to spirit, their god hates God.

Everyone should know God loves them--because Christ died for their sins. Denying you have sinned, however (like saying sodomy isn't sinful), makes it seem like Christ died in vain, that God is some kind of a liar--He erred in saying you sinned, and He erred in accounting that you needed His Son to carry your sins away on the Cross. You're rejecting God's love. God offered it. You all don't seem to want it. Your choice.

No, that's not what he said. He said DEALING WITH IT AS SIN should not be oversimplified (and it really shouldn't be--people have hearts that can be fragile, and must be handled with care), but he did not say IDENTIFYING IT AS SIN was "complex". That part, the subject of the thread, is simple and straightforward.
I choose to not hate people who are different.
