Wow!!!...you’ve been busy...I would love to grow my own vegetable garden,,I grew some tomatoes a few years back, the darn rats ate them, that were nesting under my decking at the time........you have worked hard....

Tell us what you’re growing @Spyder ?xx
Usually things like cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, green beans, bell peppers, radishes, banana peppers, and Jalapenos. I have done zipper peas, potatoes, and corn

I agree about a large garden, plus they take a lot of hard work to manage.

Even this small one of mine, keeps me busy.

My neighbour has the same style of garden that you have, she has artificial grass, which is extremely good quality, it always looks like new and very realistic...I’ve helped her hoover it at times, as she has a massive Oak Tree in another garden , all the leaves blow into her side garden, it’s a funny set up, she has 2 gardens, with a council alley running through the middle of the 2 gardens, she also has many pots on the artificial side of the garden....everyone comments on both her gardens as the walk past them ...I will ask her if I can post some pics of her garden ,once summer is here,xx

I’ve been busy on my decking, it hardly gets any sun , is full of that horrible green stuff, I gave half of it a good clean, unfortunately the green colour won’t come out of the wood, here’s a picture of my decking.xx

Personally I LOVE your decking! But everyone love’s different styles. To me it’s very unique. I like the green patina also. It adds a woodsy-out—by-a -brook -feel. it needs a waterfall of some sorts, even if its a small one. a hammock would be nice too! It’s a great space which has tons of potential in my opinion. It looks really cool temperate wise…does it stay cool on your deck?

Hi VIJ,yes, it stays cool in the summer, I do have a water feature that will be going on the decking soon,I had tubs of bedding plants on the deck last year as well,I will only be having one this year, I get fed up with the watering after a while, plus I’m away at my Sons a lot, my garden is a cottage garden style, I will post some pictures soon.xx

Yes I just brought some , but mainly for my pots. I love you garden @Ritajanice - mine is very plain in comparison , but still better than my old one. I would cope with your garden as I can’t kneel down to weed !

I never buy bedding plants now. There is no room for them. Even my pots are self seeded and mature.
I have no room in the garden for bedding plants...my garden like yours is extremely mature, I said I was only going to fill one tub, I’ve done more , here they are,xxDF5BDFE0-3ECE-47F9-9917-69AE498C0211.jpegC088C244-F7A8-421D-B72B-2100C064923D.jpegC4679BE2-EC84-400D-8F3D-56C415291476.jpeg7F62D6ED-9200-457D-A7C5-23E46F6F2BF8.jpeg

I've been a garden-a-holic this spring!! lol
I've been planting fruit trees, zucchini, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, herbs, and flowers. (I eat a carnivore diet, but it doesn't hurt to create some food security, right?! Plus, I can feed my chickens from the garden.)

These beautiful flowers were here when we bought the house. Does anyone know what they're called? They're at least 2ft tall and are multiplying and becoming more beautiful every year!

I wonder if those flowers are in the Callo Lily family?

This little plant I got as a freebie in with the yellow day lillies I got at a discount.
It looks like a ground cover/creeper of some sort with thick leaves and gets tiny yellow flowers.

Any ideas what it's called?

(The small leaves ...the other, longer foliage is from the day lillies.)

How do you store those bananas @APAK ....they ripen very quickly don’t they?
The ripening time, if they ripen at all, is based on their current maturity (size and color) state, average temperature, water and food supply. I guess you could make an analogy to a baby, still in the womb.

The food supply came from the main plant and it have been now cut off for there bunches. They have now limited water and food stored in the stems. They are still rather green and will need more time to ripen before they run out of fuel and water. The temperature should be above 65 deg F. It's a waiting game now. I had no choice. It was imminent death if left them outside in these very hot temps as they would all eventually be burnt black. I had do wanted this surgery to save them.

Now the ideal situation is for these bananas to ripen in stages, not all at once, on these hung-up stems, so storage is not really required. If I have excess and have to do something with them quickly, being yellow in color ,I would dehydrate them and use them later with cereal etc.
