Yes maam!I love it! Is this in your yard, sister @Nancy?
IKR?? Still has me smiling. There is a family of them that sleep under one of my pine trees every night, about 10 feet from my bedroom window. I can hear them snorting, lol. God is so good!Oh Wow , what a lovely start to the day Nancy xxxxx
Funny! lolWe had a couple of those in the yard last week. It looked like one of them was trying to gnosh on the gardenia and the other on the hydrangea. I'd be more than happy to send them up your way
We have those cute little cottontails! Red squirrels, adorable chipmunks and other animals like ground hogs! How can anyone live in the city? It's my age and worldview that both have me away from the city. The peace and beauty, the smells and sights are so wonderful!Funny! lol
I have bunnies everywhere snacking on my hostas. lol
Squirrels, and foxes .... and I'm sure, other critters I don't see bc they come out at night. But my big dog barks at stuff all night long.
I've only an acre but, the animals have no boundaries, lol. What a lot of land you have Nancy, so lovely to see wild animals close to home, We only get squirrels.
I'm a country girl through and through and have always been. :)We have those cute little cottontails! Red squirrels, adorable chipmunks and other animals like ground hogs! I've never seen a bobcat in Western Ny but we do have them in the rocky ridges and mountain areas. We do have the occasional black bear, I see lots of raccoons and opossum, and even (although rare) coyotes killed by vehiclesI'm a country girl through and through and have always been. :)
Right now I live on one and a quarter acre, in city limits, in a town of a whopping 500 people ...and I hate it! lol
Ideally, I'd rather live 15 to 20 miles from any town. lol
I mean, we do have dear ...and in these parts, an occasional bear or bobcat... but more so an hour north of here. And the usual ....coyotes, raccoons, opossums, beavers, etc... but a couple hours north, where we used to live, they had to keep my kiddos (and all the kids) inside at school till the mountain lion was gone from the schoolyard.![]()
They do look like little devils but, in this pic more like a skunk, to me, lol!!Yeah but it's on a good location location location!
Most I ever see is groundhogs and racoons, squirrels. Just regular squirrels though. I remember the Aberts squirrels from Colorado, the have funny looking tufted ears so look like little black devil squirrels, lol
We gave one of our younger sisters the moniker of "Magpie" cause her mouth is always open! Lol. Was cute as a small child but not so much once you are into your 60's! Hahaha.I use to get squirrels and foxes, but now I have moved into town I just get Cats , pigeons and magpies !!
We do have magpies here, plus the Canadian geese! That's when I KNOW Spring is here, when I hear the geese :)We gave one of our younger sisters the moniker of "Magpie" cause her mouth is always open! Lol. Was cute as a small child but not so much once you are into your 60's! Hahaha.
