What if one fled for refuge for the hope in another jesus . OH scott that would be bad news .

You know, we can trust the Lord in these times. The worse this world waxes, the less God's people feel at home here and the more it separates us from this world and gets us looking UP and having our hopes and affections ABOVE. Maybe that is even His purpose.

Yes, I believe that is exactly His purpose. Remembering this at all times helps us to maintain perspective. We don't always understand the things we are seeing, and sometimes something evil may seem good at first. But you are exactly correct, that the troubles in this world are to direct our minds to the heavenly realm, absolutely!

Tempations and Trails and Chastisements all blend together in our lives. Contrary circumstances tempt us to sin when we are weak in faith, prove our faith when we endure, and turn our steps when we need correction, and can't seem to turn them ourselves.

There is a whole lot going on here. Not everyone is a smart as they could be, or as wise as they could be, or as true as they could be. But we've got a pretty good bunch doing some stuff that needs done. At the end of the day they are all just people, many of whom believe God, trust Him, look to Him, and many who do not. And just as God is working in our lives, I believe He is working in theirs also.

The very best place we can be is to have no hope in this world, having a sure trust in our Father above. And as Paul wrote, if you are a slave, you are the Lord's freeman. But if you have opportunity to gain your freedom, use it. That's what we are doing.
