I told you interfaith is a deceitful trap of the devil. The world belongs the devil. 2 Corinthians 4:4. God puts leaders in place to fulfill prophesy Romans 13:1. Watch out that you might be fighting against God. Acts 5:39 The wrath of God will come onto all the wicked. Romans 1:18. It's just around the corner. Is an American city to be compared to convenanted Israel? I find this error in many places, that somehow our various nations are considered to be like Israel being in a covenant of obedience "All that You say we will do" in return for blessing "I will make you a kingdom of priests".

That was between God and Israel, not God and the USA, or God and Canada. Yes God chose a nation and no, neither yours nor mine are it.

Does the Lord watch over the city? He sees all that goes on, He cares for His children, He will judge the evildoer.

If not what is the only thing that would induce Him to?

Do you pray? Of course you do! So there is that. And there is His love for you.

I think the Lord is only really watching over the remnant who are humbly penitent and trusting in Him.

Of course He is! And He watches over those who do not trust Him yet, but they will. And He guards them and guides them, showing Himself to them towards that day their hearts are opened and they now know our Redeemer.

Just like with the judgment of the "Babylon" of the first century in 70AD, He will be faithful to lead and guide and help the remnant who are faithful to Him. As Solomon wisely wrote, "There is nothing new under the sun, what has been will be again".

Our example Israel who had perverted her ways became the adulterous harlot "Babylon" of the first century, and a church in the last days who perverts her ways is become the adulterous harlot "Babylon" of the last days. Being unequally yoked with the world and its governments (riding the beast) turns God's city on a hill, into a Babylon.

When God judges the nations He will, according to the prophecies, judge them all, and save His chosen Israel, and there will be no question that it is God's judgment. According to passages such as Romans 1, God's judgment in the present time is towards individuals, and is accomplished by given them over to their sin by the delusions in their minds.

In the day He judges the nations, He will destroy them as He did in those days.

Are you now suggesting that my political support for our elected president is akin to the woman riding the beast? Is that how far this has gone in your mind?

You keep talking about cities and countries but that was then, OT times, Law covenant, into slavery then back to self-rule, all the way up to 1948. That is Israel, and we are not Israel.

We are the children of God, His family, and that's how we relate to Him. We are not living in some kind of Covenant with USA or Covenant with Canada relationship with God. We are His children, and that has nothing to do with national borders.

1 Cor 15 chapter describes it well.
The end result is belief in Christ, and if you do not hold to the word preached of the gospel, you believed in vain.
Many poor and simple people are saved by the gospel.
