Hi there,

So I am just teasing out what the Rapture means. The idea in theology is that the Rapture is an event, that separates those that have it from those that don't. There is some truth to this. But what is actually happening?

My understanding is that the Rapture is the birthing of a conviction in the heart, that the Holy Spirit has overcome sin, evil and oppression. This conviction in turn empowers the Word of God, to act within the heart of the believer. What does it do? It instills the inspiration of the Word, to utilize this overcoming, to put it to work for the Glory of God. With the right conviction, Man can achieve almost everything.

So does this conviction change? It is just a fantasy? No and no! The point of the conviction of the Holy Spirit, is that understanding it is done; now is the time to begin to trust it and act on it. The Devil will say that you need more conviction, but the Holy Spirit will say let me go the extra mile. The readiness to serve, will be in the conviction! We have only to love this and we will be in Heaven, forever.

Now we know that Jesus told us, the Holy Spirit would convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment - how then does sin translate to sin, righteousness to evil and judgment to oppression? Jesus said He will convict of sin, because they do not believe in Me, to overcome sin, then you need to understand what specifically they do not believe - the Holy Spirit will grasp this. Again Jesus said He will convict of righteousness, which relates to evil, in the sense that when you sin and ignore righteousness the only balance you can strike is evil. Again and lastly, Jesus said He will convict of judgment, because the god of this world is judged, this is what happens when you overlook that the difference has been understood and a balance struck, because your conviction does not grow. Our conviction should always grow.

If then the Holy Spirit reminds us, of what the Rapture was in the beginning, then to be caught up in it now, will deliver us from all these things - sin, evil and oppression. Wanting this to be powerful, is natural. We can command it, through the Spirit, if we take up our Cross. This was Jesus' message "the Holy Spirit will give you everything you need, empower you every way you need to be empowered" (John, loosely interpreted). The Holy Spirit is communicating this gold all the time, you just need to tune in to it! This is what it is to submit to God, in the Holy Spirit, to have His conviction growing in us!

I hope this has been of some encouragement to you.

God bless.

I do think that part of what you're saying is true because the body of Christ was never meant to operate in a mental or luke warm state.
In the book of revelation, it is the Luke warm believer that He will spew out of his mouth. The rapture, though, as portrayed in the Bible, is an event, and in that event the ones that are on fire for Jesus, are gathered.
The lukewarm believers stay, and That dynamic is depicted in Matthew 24, and then again in matthew twenty five.
The same percentage that go with Jesus,is depected in both matthew twenty four and matthew twenty five, so in both depictions by Jesus, half the church goes, and half the church stays.
In mat 25, Jesus names the game changer, that causes half the church to go to the marriage.
That game changer is the Holy Spirit , As the foolish had some oil, but over time, their light went out.
In other words, they grew carnal.
However, the wise virgins purposed to have oil. Their light was burning bright when Jesus found them.
In other words they were on fire for jesus and full of the holy spirit

Remember that in the 7 letters to the 7 churches? Jesus is telling them about the condition they need to be in when he returns.
So we were without excuse ,because we know if we are Lukewarm, like the 5 foolish virgins, he will not take us to the marriage

So yes, be on fire, like you say, for the rapture.

I could not make heads or tails out of your interpretation of the Rapture. It looks like you were trying to tease out what the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is about, but that didn't fit.

The Rapture is the taking away or the resurrection of the Church to the Father's house in heaven. Yes, it is an event. I was trying hard to figure out your spiritualized interpretation with scripture but I could not follow which scriptures you were spiritualizing to reach your understanding of the Rapture. I consider the literal method of interpretation to be the self-evident truth of which interpretation method is used.

The default interpretation is the literal method, you always begin with this method, and if it doesn't fit the Bible, Book, Chapter, Verses, phases, words, then the literal method is not used in those instances. As long as you make sure the literal method doesn't fit, only then can you use one of the other methods (allegorical, spiritual, metaphorical, etc.).

The body of Christ is not severed-divided at the rapture, just as it is not now broken into pieces.
I am not speaking of doctrinal differences, I am speaking of how each member of the body is joined to the Lord as in one spirit with Him.

God keeps the body whole. So all will experience the rapture together, and Paul makes no comment on any such breaking apart the body.
The dead in Christ rise first, then we who remain alive are caught up to be together in the air, with each other and Him.
But of course there is a judgement seat of Christ, but even so all believers will be gathered and judged and saved together, as they are all in Him. No one is left behind. That is not taught by Paul or Christ.
Believers are elected in Him to be saved, all believers, but not all believers receive the same reward do they.

Romans 12:5
so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

1 Corinthians 12:12
For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

Ephesians 5:23
For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

Mark 13:27
And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.

1 Thessalonians 4
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen [b]asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [c]sleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are [d]asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Pre-wrath deliverance is the promise of the Gospel for those who are in Christ = Matt ch24 , 1st Thess & 2nd Thess , 1 Cor ch15

pre-trib rapture is not from God and is antichrist for it speak against Christ and the Apostles and the OT prophets.

No one should ever place the pre-wrath rapture as more important then Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Gospel

And remeber that the rapture will only take place after the Resurrection = 1 Thess 4:13-18

The Resurrection of the Saints only takes place with Christ at His 2nd Coming = 1 Thess 4:13-18

Let's try to read the following, with your prism of; "it can't be God, that the possibility of a pretrib rapture exists", presumption and mindset :

Maybe we can stumble over "Trump"?

Make "trump" the pivot point to erase all the pretrib rapture verses.????

Hard to wiggle out of all the pretrib rapture verses by invoking a distorted view of trumpets that are in fact blown every year at the feast of trumpets.
Ahem....complete with the "last trump"/ "trump" , blown every year, included in the fessts every year.

What drives this offense with God's word, that attempts to cast down the rapture verses depicting a pretrib rapture, in
Complete defiance to God's word???????

Take one of the pretrib rapture verses, and cast it down, and look to heaven simultaneously.

Enough of this doctrine of yours,via omission.
It is disgusting.

What drives this energy to defy the bible?

The promise from the WORD is His people will be delivered from His wrath, not necessarily the wrath of anyone else.
People of God experience trials and tribulations coming at them from the world to this very day.

Romans 5:9
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Matthew 3:7
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Ephesians 5:6
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

Colossians 3:5-7
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
9 For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The wrath of God is on the world of unbelievers, even now. It is wrath delayed or realized.
God is patient, but keep pushing Him away and see what happens.
John 3:36
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Romans 9
22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
25 As He says also in Hosea:
“I will call them My people, who were not My people,
And her beloved, who was not beloved.”
26 “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them,
‘You are not My people,’
There they shall be called sons of the living God.”
27 Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel:
“Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea,
The remnant will be saved.
28 For [b]He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness,
Because the Lord will make a short work upon the earth.”
29 And as Isaiah said before:
“Unless the Lord of [c]Sabaoth had left us a seed,
We would have become like Sodom,
And we would have been made like Gomorrah.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Because God endures with longsuffering the vessels of His wrath to come, He makes it possible that the vessels of His mercy obtain the riches of His glory.

Revelation 14

9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

12 Here is the [g]patience of the saints; here[h] are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying [i]to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”

Reaping the Earth’s Harvest

14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come [j]for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you see, The Son of Man reaps the earth after the beast's kingdom is established.
The ones reaped are the saints, those who keep the faith of Jesus.
Then the vessels of wrath are reaped by angels
Hence, no pre trib reaping by Christ of His people
There is no mention of any delay either!
First the people of God are harvested, then the unbelieving are harvested.
Is this not exactly what Christ taught in the parable of the Tares?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Reaping the Grapes of Wrath

17 Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.” 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred [k]furlongs.

The Day of the Harvest has no delay between the reaping of the just and the unjust, it happens on the Last Day, at the coming of Christ, at the end of the world (age)

The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

The Parable of the Tares Explained

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house, and His disciples came unto Him, saying, “Explain unto us the parable of the tares of the field.”

37 He answered and said unto them, “He that soweth the good seed is the Son of Man.

38 The field is the world, the good seed are the children of the Kingdom, but the tares are the children of the wicked one.

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be at the end of this world.

41 The Son of Man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend and them that do iniquity,

42 and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

If a doctrine HINGES on changing the virgins parable, acts one, and has no clue of rev 14 harvest, then they need to abandon that false doctrine as fast as they abandon the 2 escape verses declared BY JESUS.

Matthew 25

21st Century King James Version

1 “Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made: ‘Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.’
7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, ‘Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out.’
9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘Not so, lest there be not enough for us and you; but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.’
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us!’
12 But he answered and said, ‘Verily I say unto you, I know you not.’
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man cometh.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nothing about pre or post trib
It is about the return of Christ, the second coming.
v12 clearly the language says Christ does NOT KNOW the foolish virgins.
They are not saved, as the door into His Presence is closed to them.
They are cast into the outer darkness where will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This site clearly makes several points about the foolish virgins, and also nothing pre or post trib does he mention either.
Matthew 25
21st Century King James Version
1 “Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made: ‘Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.’
7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, ‘Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out.’
9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘Not so, lest there be not enough for us and you; but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.’
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us!’
12 But he answered and said, ‘Verily I say unto you, I know you not.’
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man cometh.
Nothing about pre or post trib
It is about the return of Christ, the second coming.
v12 clearly the language says Christ does NOT KNOW the foolish virgins.
They are not saved, as the door into His Presence is closed to them.
They are cast into the outer darkness where will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This site clearly makes several points about the foolish virgins, and also nothing pre or post trib does he mention either.
The setting can ONLY BE PRETRIB.
Postrib setting does not fit in ANY WAY.
THAT is WHY EVERY POSTRIBBER CHANGES IT.
NO POSTRIBBER CAN INCORPORATE EVERY COMPONENT.
WAY TOO HARMFUL.
The virgin parable fits pretrib rapture perfectly in over 10 points.
Those points get changed and omitted by postribbers.
There is nothing a non pre mill does to change the parable.
I could equally say you change the meaning.
Jesus said He does not know the 5 foolish virgins, means He does not have a saving relationship with them.
The 5 foolish virgins are also described here with their destiny, cause they do not know Him and He does not know them.
The Narrow Way
22 And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. 23 Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?”
And He said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’
26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’
27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’
28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.
29 They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.”
The teaching of Christ on the narrow way, and the foolish virgins, both are the same message.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And He said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’

26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’

27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’

28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.

11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour [b]in which the Son of Man is coming.

The thing is, just like Christians will be judged at the White Throne Judgment, for what they did with faith in Christ, so Christians will be judged how the conviction of the Holy Spirit impacted their walk with the Holy Spirit, while they were doing these works - it won't take a back seat, but will be part of their lives.

I found something interesting: the nature of the Rapture actually changes depending on the circumstance in which it is invoked, in order to bring about change [in the Holy Spirit] for God.

It's like a sign-up sheet, for calls above and beyond the normal line of duty (for God).
