Yes according to romans eight and other places as well .
Many do walk after the flesh and not the Spirit .
And when the few do try and correct they get accused of condemning .
But always remember its not those who correct that are condmening the person they do correct
Its the person who hears not that condemns them own selves .
But todays version of judge not is that version that now allows sin upon its neighbor
it will not correct sin and error . As a result LOOK how BAD churches have become
and now even UNBELEIF IN CHRIST is becoming accepted .
On a big ol road of what they all beleive is love and is loving and is of GOD
but that broad road of their love sure has picked up a lot of sin and unbeleif along the way .
And it has only pushed more and more Truth out , those who bring truth out
under the guise that we are haters and judgers . This is not gonna bode well for many on the day of the LORD .
I truly wish all would just return to scripture reading daily to learn and to grow .
This could have been cleared up , but many had rather follow a sensual love .

Once HE COMETH and the door be shut
THERE IS NO SECOND chance . that is very well made in the point of this parable .
AS we dont see him saying , OH , YA just made it . NOPE . HE never opened the door .

that has done exactly what was foretold would occur specially right at the end .
MANY sins are being embraced , many follow the perniscious ways of men gone wrong .

and they believe will usher in PEACE N SAFETY .

All were virgins ie, believers. The foolish ones were unenlightened, they presumed they would get in on their 'religious' merits; they rejected the gift in favour of their self focused endeavours.

It is not unbelievers who go out to meet the Lord (bridegroom) therefore we must deduct that 'virgin' means believer.
Do you have another option?

I would interpret the the parable as those who deem themselves or qualify themselves as believers but are disqualified by Jesus telling them, 'I never knew you'. In other words they were self absorbed with their own religiosity but never really connected with Jesus....they didn't have oil; a symbol of the Spirit......that deems them foolish!
