So are you saying you have completely and absolutely forsaken every thing of the world in thought, word and deed? If not you do not belong to Jesus according to your claims. As Amigo said, the goodness of God (His grace) leads is to repentance. Once we accept the sacrifice of Christ being a personal propitiation for our sin, and receive Christ into our lives, we must continue to grow. We can never presume upon God that all is hunky dory while we continue to live according to the world. Jesus said except we forsake all, we are not His. The way is narrow and self denying. And further, having once accepted Christ, does not remove the power of the individual to turn again to the vomit if be chooses to.
but the Bible says different. When one is saved, they are saved forever. Teh bible is clear and unambiguous on this.
As for teh Peter verse you misquote, it is not a saved person Peter referred to but one like in Hebrews who has been enlightened and understood the way of salvation, to reject it.
A saved person will not be perfect in all their ways, just forgiven and being made holy by the covenant the Father made with the Son on our behalf.
