Jesus told me to read His Words. You would be surprised how much knowledge is packed in Jesus's words alone. Especially the parables. Read the parables carefully and you will see. There is more power in Jesus's words the rest of the bible.
Red letter Christianity sounds like a convinent way to reduce the breadth of scripture so that false doctrines can be introduced without challenge.
It's not just that liberals use it on going easy on homosexuality in Christianity etc. I actually wanted to cite from an article that is hard to find. This "Red Letter Christian" was handing out pamphlets in the early 2000s saying "What Jesus has to say about Homosexuality" and they are completely blank, giving a false impression, when Jesus was a God fearing Jew (besides being God incarnate etc.) and he upholds the divine inspired Torah which is obviously against homosexuality, and of course in his Divinity, being part of the Godhead he would have been behind the giving of the Torah.Just recently heard about Redletter Christians.
Have you ever heard of them before? Apparently it's a section of a group of people that only read the words of Jesus, and do not go any further than that.
Thoughts? Experiences with anyone like this?
Please feel free to share.
On whether Jesus is against homosexuality:It's not just that liberals use it on going easy on homosexuality in Christianity etc. I actually wanted to cite from an article that is hard to find. What individuals choose to do in their personal lives is their own journey. My mother was raised by two gay men and, during her time living in various housing units, she also shared space with a person who was transgender. Throughout it all, she accepted and loved them for who they were. Though she may not have liked any of the actions they pertained into all of us know what it is like when our fleshly ways get to us how mean or angry, or upset we can be.Personally, I do not believe that God hates people who identify as homosexual. From a faith perspective, I believe that Jesus took on the weight of sin and fulfilled the requirements of the Torah.Sometimes when I express this belief, people challenge me by asking whether I’m encouraging others to live however they please. But truthfully, people all over the world make choices based on their own values and desires. In the same way, it is a personal conviction to believe that Yeshua died, was buried, and rose again. From my perspective, had Jesus not done what He did, I don’t believe we would even be here today.
Yes. Jesus loved you and died for you.Yes, i always focus on The Cross of Christ (Jesus's Death) as without it, there is NO Salvation., there is no Christianity.
How do you express your love for Him back to Jesus?Yes. Jesus loved you and died for you.
Do you love Jesus back?
Yes. Jesus loved you and died for you.
Do you love Jesus back?
I said: Jesus was a real human being—just like you and me, standing right here in this barn. Think of the moment when Mary and Elizabeth met, one carrying Yeshua, the other John the Baptist. That encounter was profoundly human and sacred.
I also mentioned how I think about Timothy—not just as a figure in scripture, but as a real person facing challenges on the island of Crete. These weren’t abstract teachings—they were lived experiences.
I truly believe that Yeshua died on the cross, was buried, and rose again—and that He is indeed the Word of God made flesh.
But these beliefs are deeply personal. Regardless of what others may say, no one else can speak for the convictions in my heart. I've heard far too many claim that if you disagree with their interpretation, you're not a Christian—and frankly, that kind of rhetoric is misguided.
Luke 4, for example, when tempted by Satan, Jesus directly quotes scripture, "For it is written..."Hi duckielady,
It's hard to understand what you are saying.
Luke 4, for example, when tempted by Satan, Jesus directly quotes scripture, "For it is written..."
Or when teaching, still quotes scripture. He knew all of it by heart.
If you're only going to study the red text, you're leaving out the rest of what we know Jesus read himself, based on what he was quoting.
Paul's teaching are a reflection of what he knew from having actually walked with Christ and are essential for living and building up the church.
I don't know why people would want to not have peace and order.
