This reminds me of Woody Allen's movie, "Midnight in Paris" about a discontent author who writes about the previous nostalgic generation, when he thought life was better. Something happens when he's strolling through Paris at midnight. An old 1920's vehicle comes along with people partying, inviting him to come along. It's doorway back in time where he meets famous people, his idols, like Hemingway and others. He finds out that these folks also speak of this similar dissatisfaction and discontentment of their time and that the previous generation was better. This time travel keeps jumping back and he meets other famous people who reminisce of older, better times.
Each generation looks back to the old days. I always thought the 50's and early 60's was the best time. No one lived on welfare and credit cards, we paid cash only and so people weren't in as much debt. There was hard working patriotic people that took pride in their work. "Made in America" was consider the best products to buy. We were not dependent on any country. Families were solid, life was simpler. It seemed we all held onto a better sense of morality. We were certainly more conservative. What was taboo then is accepted today.
I could go on and on, but here's the kicker: King Solomon, who lived around 970 BC, was said to be the richest man ever. He had it all and experienced all facets of life under the sun. His conclusion was that "everything under the sun was vanity of vanities". Following any path no matter what you do or accomplish ends in futility and likened to chasing after the wind - without God!
His book of Proverbs is considered The Book of Wisdom.
Ecclesiastes examines this journey of the futility in pursuing worldly pleasures, wisdom, and accomplishments as sources of ultimate fulfillment.
So in every generation, people are lost, complaining, searching for something better, discontent with life in general. We yearn for a better, perfect world that doesn't exist. It's a void in us, this yearning for something more.
But by going back in time, guess what, this problem isn't solved, because you are still you, and after you have tasted that Era, you'll still be lost and discontent, finding no meaning or purpose in life - WITHOUT GOD.
SEEK JESUS. HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. YOUR WHOLE PERSPECTUVE WILL CHANGE AND YOU WILL FIND CONTENTMENT WHETHER RICH OR POOR, IN ANY PLACE UNDER THE SUN.

Asimov was an atheist. I watched the interview after you posted it on Saturday. It was interesting, but the takeaway is futility.
Mankind left to itself won’t fix the problem. Things will grow worse, not better.
How much worse could it possibly become? Zombie apocalypse worse? A.I robot worse? Alien invasion worse? Wrath from heaven worse? David Duchovny worse?
That’s very likely to happen again, and on a much larger scale than it did before.
Nevertheless, the assurance of scripture is that there will be some left alive when the Messiah returns.

This is correct but it do need a bit more expounding .
Because what if i told you that many in christendom now follow a jesus of nazareth , JUST NOT THE JESUS OF NAZARETH .
SO seeing that none of us has seen HIM
Might i suggest we see how He lived and taught
His examples given us IN A CERTAIN BOOK that now collects much dust .
From page one to page last those words BE TRUTH
and would have proved THE DESIRE OF GOD for humanity .
Now i know its gonna have some serious warnings , serious reminders about NOT SINNING in it
but the reason as to why GOD WARNS , as did the prophets
as did JESUS HIMSELF
as DID the apostels ,
IS BECAUSE HE DESIRES NOT THE DEATH , but rather repentance and life .
its just many love a god and many in christendom love a god and a jesus , THAT FEEDS the very desire
of what they love above all , the desires of the flesh and of the god of that mirror they see daily .

In this life and in this world THE PROBLEM will not be fixed
ONLY the solution can be preached .
THE ONE TRUE SOLUTION which while its not gonna fix the problems in this world
IT SURE CAN heal the soul of all who did beleive .
OH the problem is gonna be fixed . But on the DAY IT IS
those under its headship are gonna be wailing and destroyed .
WE WILL NEVER BRING PEACE ON THIS EARTH and to THINK WE CAN is a delusion that will lead
only to the lie .
BUT WE SURE CAN PREACH THE ONLY NAME and ALL LOVELY PURE AND HOLY SOUND BIBLICAL DOCTRINE of HIS WORDS
and unto all who do receive him , THEY WILL HAVE THE PEACE OF GOD
though they will surely have persecutions in this world .
FAR BETTER IT BE for a man and a woman to have suffered much evil and much sufferings in this life
FOR THE HOLY AND THE RIGHTEOUS GLORIOUS CAUSE OF CHRIST
than to have lived a king under a lie .
MANY are the afflictions of the sheep
And while it may surely seem the wicked do prosper IN THIS LIFE
and have it easier
GO YE INTO THE HOLY TABERNACLE OF GOD ALL MIGHTY and YOU SEE THEIR END
and see ours . CAUSE OURS , THANKS TO GOD AND HIS MERCY AND GRACE GIVEN US IN CHRIST , IS REAL GOOD
but the end of the wicked IS NOT SO . it will be heard with much wailing and weeping . JESUS saves , INTERFAITH graves .

ITS KNOWN AS REBELLION TO GOD and REJECTION OF THE ONE TRUE CHRIST .
many follow another jesus within christendom that has led them to rebellion against THE ONE TRUE GOD AND HIS CHRIST .
The restoration, the Messiah’s perfect and unending government, comes next. I hope you are around for that.

BUT BELIEVE ME , ITS GONNA GET WORSE .
OH many have and many more will soon embrace the lie they so beleive is love and cometh of GOD .
Harsh and hard times and great persecutions will come against the true sheep as well .
But to answer your question about what is perhaps the worst type of wrath .
BELIEVE you me , ITS NOT WHAT MAN CAN DO to the body
ITS the wrath and sufferings that can come upon one AFTER they have died .
THE WRATH OF THE HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS GOD
is far harsher than anything that man can do to us .
And its time we start learning that bible for ourselves .
YOU know JESUS suffered big time . Whipped beyond recogniztion
so weak from the beatings that even SIMON was ordered by the romans to help carry his cross

Let's suppose that doesn't happen. Then humanity is left with the prospect of dehydration, starvation, violence, and radiation sickness.
Besides, I don't think using nuclear weapons automatically triggers the return of Jesus. We dropped two on Japan and the world kept right on going.
That would be the end of the world scenario.

Christianity isn't synonymous with the Bible (some here will disagree). Thomas Jefferson famously took scissors to his Bible and cut out all the miracles. He gets called a Deist too.
As nearly as I can figure, a Deist who subscribes to the teachings of Christ, is just a Christian by another name.
Look at how many Nuclear Bombs that has been dropped so far in the world.
As far as I know they were exploading such right up to befor Trump got back into power. nearly every day at the south Pole ! who knows ? as we the people are not alowed to know what goes on down their in some area's in fact !
It's as tho their is some what like a Nazi base down their, one could say, because such is off limits to the people of the world in fact and just as in Switzland, They have meetings of very very wealthy people once a year, who are clearly above the Law ! regarding the people of the world ! Totaly in fact, who have set agendas, That no Media has any right to know or clearly tell the people of the world !
