" And you know, the bible says not to go beyond what is written.
Written when? And who was it that made this statement? What writtings were they referring to? Can you prove this?
Most of what was written down concerning what God has said and done never made it into the myriads of bibles let alone the scriptures.
I think of His written word as being the sheepfold that safeguards His sheep...it has limits, walls.
Is this your personal opinion, what you think, or what the Spirit revealed to you?
That's way too limited for me and many others. God has seen to it that His words, His expressed truths have continued to be given to His children way beyond what has been ever documented. The thousands of books are but a drop in the ocean. And then there's all the words that have come from the mouth of God that were never written down. His words are limitless, never resticted, never fenced in. Never a fence. Rather they set us free from the fences people and demons try to erect.
Stay within a defined restrictive framework of beliefs and practices as determined by a handful of books if you like.
Not for this sheep. I go out and find pasture way beyond any fences. I follow the Spirit of Jesus wherever He leads me. And He feeds me truth along the way, way beyond what was written tens, hundreds and thousands of years ago.
I feel for those who have erected fences, walls that limit them from going into the very presence of God. From accepting the volumes of new revelations that are in Christ for His people. There are pastures of new truths to enjoy. And how do I know? Because I'm out here benefiting from the words of our Creator without placing any limits on Him and His word. Its truly fantastic! I love Him. I love His words of life!
David humbly said that he does not concern himself with matters that are too great for him.
He may have made that decision for himself but I'm not David or Amos or Peter or Judas. In fact I have the mind of Christ. I have far greater access to truth than David. With thousands of years of further revelations that go way BEYOND what he knew or way way beyond the little he wrote down.
